Jay's Granddaughter, at one time, drew a beautiful life like picture of an underwater Sea Turtle. It was very beautiful. Later, he approached her once and asked if she would draw some childlike images for one of his children's books. And she did. But the images were too life like. He explained that he preferred them to be drawn as a child would see them and asked her to try again. This time, to read the text of the book and draw what she saw in her head what was happening. And she did just that. She did an outstanding job. The illustrations were perfect. Ever since then, he has published book, using those images.
After that, he called on his niece to draw the illustrations for the next book. Again, the pictures captured the scene perfectly.
To make a story much more interesting, each and every child should draw. Whether before or after a story, listeners should use their imaginations and create a picture from exactly what they visualize in their mind.
God has blessed all children with many gifts. The gift of drawing should be encouraged to all children. Don't try to grow up too fast. Enjoy your childhood while you can.

God loves children. God has blessed Jay to carry His words forth to them. God is the true author of these books, and Jay considers himself as His messenger.
While listening, children can feel the story. Their free imagination allows them to visualize and then create the exact expressions needed for each character in order to tell the story. Left with an emotional impression, the children drew the pictures for his first two books. Amazingly, the pictures speak for themselves without the text.

Opal, Herby, and Squeaky (2008)
Book 3 is a delightful children's tale by Christian Fiction author Jay Miller. In it, Miller skillfully spurs original thought in the minds of young readers, helping them realize that for every action there is a consequence--be it good or bad--and that each decision we make must be preceded by careful, deliberate forethought. By doing so, we can prevent ourselves from falling into pratfalls that often accompany the folly of diving head-first into situations whose virtue is superficial at best.
Miller also does a commendable job of displaying the transcendent power of forgiveness, particularly the second chances with which it provides us all. As we are all human, we are all prone to making mistakes, but the importance of patience and understanding in the face of common error is not often stressed enough--a point that
Miller makes in compelling fashion.
"Opal, Herby, and Squeaky" is a welcome literary treat with a powerful, inviting message.

Sal And Sally (2008)
Readers of all ages are sure to enjoy book 2. In it, author Jay Miller does a commendable job of highlighting the advantages of getting along and working together, outlining just how beneficial the principles of teamwork, sharing, and selflessness are when put into real practice. The collective strength that can be manifested through genuine bonding is a lesson that it's never too late to learn.
Miller also places special emphasis on the importance of changing one's ways in order to gain the trust of others. The power of redemption is a universal theme that never gets old, and, as he depicts in the decisions that Nasty Nick ultimately makes, Miller does an effective job of showing the reader just how advantageous it can be to seek to make amends for past wrongs.
Sure to become a permanent addition to personal libraries, "Sal and Sally" is an engaging tale, both enlightening and entertaining.

Glad tidings and warm thoughts Fellow Authors,
We've decided to brave the cold. January 15 through 19, 2010 the Author Collective will shake hands with and share a cup of warm cider with 9,000 plus librarians of the northeast United States and elsewhere. The American Library Association Mid-Winter will be held in Boston, Massachusetts and what better way to showcase your book?
Past conventions have indicated that two specific genres are now in big demand, "Children" and "Urban" titles. As such we are planning to include a separate section in our booth dedicated to Urban Fiction and Non-Fiction plus books that instruct and educate children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are now looking for authors who have such topics. If your writings fit these categories you should join the Author Collective TODAY!
Our goal is to help the self-published and un-known,under-known and soon to be well known author, get their craft in front of the people who make decisions to buy books in quantity. Sign up for the Author Collective today and get an extra month of membership FREE. That's right, join any time in December 2009 and your membership will not expire until January 1, 2011.
Don't let this opportunity pass you bye. Call me TODAY!
