JOY Broadcasting, Inc. is the parent organization of WXGN and is committed to bringing the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to its listeners through the broadcast medium of FM radio via the airplay of Christian Rock Music.

WXGN, owned and operated under the auspices of JOY Broadcasting, Inc. broadcasts 500 Watts @ 90.5 FM to the Ocean City, Somers Point, Linwood, Marmora, SE EHT area. We are AOR and a Christian Rock Radio Station and Ministry. Playing the full gamut of modern rock featuring major label, indie, and local artists. We are an Arbitron reporting station. We were knighted the 'X' and our station tag is "Truth That Rocks". We operate under a 501(c)(3) license and are listener supported with the legal ability to be sponsored by local businesses and organizations.

We are in dire need of partners and sponsors, so if you're interested please shoot us an email. The difference between the two is that sponsors are businesses or ministries that recieve 30 second to 60 second spots to mention their names, products, services, hours of operations and contact information. Partners are individuals, families, businesses or ministries that partner with us monetarily of their own volition.

Sponsorships start at $750.00 a year for one 30 second spot during peak business hours 360 days a year. We do not run sponsorship mentions on Christmas, Christmas Eve, or Good Friday-Easter. We are also able to host an event at your location for a nominal fee.

Two painless ways to help support this ministry is to use GoodSearch as your search engine naming WXGN as your charitable organization of choice, and to use GoodShop when making online purchases. WXGN will receive one penny each time you search the internet, and a percentage of the cost of your online shopping order.

WXGN invites you to be on the radio! Local youth groups, youth leaders, and youth ministries are all welcome to come on board for a daily or weekly broadcast. Prices for airtime are currently set at less than one dollar a minute.

OK, so this is a sorry looking website, so if you can do better, why not volunteer your time and expertise in making this a really fun site to come to? Professional webmasters can trade their expertise and time for sponsorship spots. Volunteers can know that they are helping further the cause of Christ, and receive free tickets and CDs.

We also need volunteers in the areas of Street Teams, bookkeeping, data entry, news reporters, technical assistance for live remote events, and even on-air personalities. The latter requires a working knowledge of the Christian Rock scene, a firm commitment, and letters of recommendation from a pastor and youth leader.

HELP make WXGN grow into a Global Reality! We are in need of several pieces of broadcast equipment in order to do this including: a new radio console board (digital preferred), and HD radio converter, an effets processor, a production computer with the following software: BSI Simian, Natural Log, Natural Music, and Adobe Audition 3. We may also need a codex for webstreaming. Better mics are not a necessity, but it would be great if we actually had broadcast quality ones. Other needs: a live remote PA system. and a tricked-out Van.

We also need to produce stickers, t-shirts, polo shirts, beach balls, mugs, and flyers.

Volunteers are also needed for BEACH FEST OCEAN CITY 2009 Saturday, May 23rd.
