Karen Shadbolt, singer, songwriter and musician, lives in Conroe, TX with her husband John. They have three daughters and three precious grand children. Karen has been in music ministry for over twenty years as a soloist, worship leader, choir director of both adult and children's choirs, and pianist. Karen sings and writes music that communicates the message of hope that can be found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her singing and writing style can be described as a mixture of contemporary, inspirational, acoustic folk and a little bit o' country. She says, "I love it all ?"
A TESTIMONY OF GRACE ? after high school graduation, Karen moved from Lake Charles, LA to Houston and began a long journey that carried her further away from the truth she'd grown up hearing - that Jesus loved her and died to save her. After ten years, like the prodigal son, she came to her senses and, on August 8, 1977, gave her life to Christ.
Karen has studied music with some of the best Christian writers and artists, having completed studies at the Babbie Mason Songwriting Conference in Atlanta (1991); Steve Hurst School of Music Ministry and Performance, Nashville (2001); Stamps-Baxter School of Music, Nashville (2004); and most recently was a roster artist with Incubator Records (2004-2007).
Karen and husband John are members of Living Way United Methodist Church in Conroe, where Karen sings and plays keyboard with the praise team and John serves as sound technician.
