Sounds Like:
We sound exactly how we want to sound. A 6 person Contemporary Christian Rock Band. Most of our sound comes from what music we felt like playing at the time we wrote our lyrics but over all, Classic Rock feely, some Punk, scattered Alternative and a southern gospel/country vocalist. It's kinda unique.. It's mostly just whatever we're feeling when we make the music for the songs.

About Essence of Life
Essence of Life was created and established by 5 young men, on the basis of attempting to produce music that would inspire character, ignite a passion for music, and act on the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ. The band originates from a small East Tennessee town, Northwest of Knoxville, called Oneida. Zacc Phillips (Rhythm Guitar/Background Vox) is the glue of Essence of Life and one of the founders, playing and excelling on any instrument that his fingers can touch. Clint Keeton (Lead Guitar/Background Vox) also a founder, is the bread and butter of the band, with his outrageous solos that can only be compared to the likes of Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and/or Slash. Aaron Hamby (Lead Vox) the grandpa of the band has been singing and performing in churches and events since the age of 8, with a powerful, tamed voice that propels the bands music with unbridled melodies that quench your desire for just another voice above the crowd. Dustin Smith (Bass) last of the original band members, has continued to hold up the band by producing powerful lyrics on paper that hold true to our principles and he also establishes a bass line for every song performed by the band. Chris "Big Daddy" Tucker... We added him to play our drums for us and he has fit right into place with his abilities...He loves the Lord and music and he doubles as our body guard if any trouble arises... if you have meet him, you know what i am talking about. Now for the newest band member, Mitch Sexton. He plays Keyboard for us and fills all the gaps left behind from a 5 piece band.

Our Essence   2/18/2009 - 10:26 PM
This is an excerpt from the prelude of the book "No Wonder They Call Him The Savior", by Max Lucado. I feel like it puts into words "Why Our Band is." ""I just want to know what counts." Deep Irish brogue. Dark, deep eyes. The statement was si... (login or sign up to read more)
