I love stories with depth of character and raw emotion -- both laughter and tears. I also am a poet, and readers comment that my work is very flowing. That's because I listen to the rhythm of the words and use poetic devices in my writing.

I love to travel, and it's great for a writer. Every trip and every exciting setting gives me ideas for stories. I've traveled in Europe, including Great Britain. I love Ireland and Scotland, and I've been thrilled to be a speaker at a conference in London, England. I've been in every state in the U.S.

I love all kinds of music - but my favorites are jazz and blues, easy listening, and the classics.
|
|
My favorite authors are Rosemund Pilcher and Maeve Binchy from Great Britain. Debbie Macomber is a favorite and Christian author Lisa Samson is one of my favorites. I have so many friends who are Christian writers I'd be listing forever. Francine River's Redeeming Love is an amazing book.

Survivor and American Idol -- I'm hooked. I love romantic comedies, but I also love movies with depth that make me think.

Welcome to my blog on Shout Life. I'm a Christian fiction author of romantic suspense, romance and women's fiction with Steeple Hill and Barbour Publishing with forty-two novels and nearly 3 million books in print. I praise God for the amazing blessing.
Michigan is often a setting in my books since it's my home state, but I love to travel so you can find other books set in romantic places all over the world.
I'm very active musically as well and sing with a Christian chorale in the Detroit area. I'm a soloist, member of the choir and play handbells and handchimes at my church.
