I love stories with depth of character and raw emotion -- both laughter and tears. I also am a poet, and readers comment that my work is very flowing. That's because I listen to the rhythm of the words and use poetic devices in my writing.

I love to travel, and it's great for a writer. Every trip and every exciting setting gives me ideas for stories. I've traveled in Europe, including Great Britain. I love Ireland and Scotland, and I've been thrilled to be a speaker at a conference in London, England. I've been in every state in the U.S.

I love all kinds of music - but my favorites are jazz and blues, easy listening, and the classics.
|

My favorite authors are Rosemund Pilcher and Maeve Binchy from Great Britain. Debbie Macomber is a favorite and Christian author Lisa Samson is one of my favorites. I have so many friends who are Christian writers I'd be listing forever. Francine River's Redeeming Love is an amazing book.

Survivor and American Idol -- I'm hooked. I love romantic comedies, but I also love movies with depth that make me think.

Hi Gail, I go for long periods without being on Shoutlife, too. Then I get a friend request or something that reminds me. Your 44th novel for Steeple Hill? WOW, that's impressive. I'm writing my 4th one-year devotional book (3rd one comes out in Oct.--both for Baker). I would love to write fiction someday.
