About Jamie Oglesby
Jamie Oglesby in currently the Music Minister for a small charasmatic church in Southern Indiana. "Hardinsburg Assembly of God" has given him a platform to write and express the many praise & worship songs God has given him, and still keeps on giving. Jamie's real calling is in songwriting and he doesn't strive to be an artist himself. He is interested in soliticing his music. His songs are "self produced" using just a Roland synthesizer and home recording software. When he's lucky, a couple of local musicians will help out. Just finished are two tracks from an instrumental only CD placed in his heart entitled "A Day With God," that tells a story of a day spent with God from sunrise until sunset.
With the market flooded with many talented writers and musicians, he humbly strives to be an effective minister and fulfill his calling via the internet.

Can you outgrow where you are planted?   1/19/2009 - 4:41 PM
As a music minister in a small church, I see people come & go. At times our pastor gets discouraged, but people DO outgrow where they are planted and only God knows the time they are ready to move on. Our Pastor is more of a "milk" than "meat" past... (login or sign up to read more)

Complacency?   1/12/2009 - 4:58 PM
As many artists will tell you, it is so easy to get complacent with a mundane routine. "Same old venue..." "same old music." When you are out in the ministry field all you think about is, "How effective can I be this time?",or " I wonder if the dru... (login or sign up to read more)
