Movies/TV
Considering I'm not a bed ridden recluse with a house full of cats, the amount of television that I watch is utterly ridiculous. I won't embarrass myself by listing all the shows I watch, I'll limit it to Top Ten. Criminal Minds 9. Heroes 8. CSI Vegas 7. CSI New York 6. My Name is Earl 5. Deadliest Catch 4. Man vs Wild 3. The Soup 2. King of Queens and in my opinion, the funniest show on tv: The Office.

About Michelle Thomas

Growing up the oldest of three in a completely dysfunctional family in Texas set me up for one of two things; I could either become a sociopath or a comic. I chose comic.
I made my comedy debut at 19 at the Improv Comedy Club in Addison, Texas. I had taken this comedy class and it was our "graduation peformance." I was so nervous I wanted to barf. I thought "If this doesn't go well, I'm never doing it again. If it does go well, I'm never turning back."
After that, I started furiously trying to find stage time anywhere I could and about a year later, I was playing clubs across the south. At the time, however, I was not a Christian and my material was not Christ honoring. It wasn't until I was 21 that I was witnessed to and accepted Christ as my Savior. That's when everything changed; I got out of the comedy scene all together. God opened my eyes to the fact that I was given this gift, however, I wasn't using it in a way that would bring any honor or glory to him. I took two years off, re-wrote my entire act and started again from scratch.
Fast forward to the present: I took the long way around to get to where I am today, but if it weren't for that,I wouldn't be the goofy girl sitting behind her computer right now, able to share her testimony.
In addition to comedy, I also own and operate my own in home daycare...I know it's a weird combination, comedy and child care, but I like to think of myself as sort of a "Cool Mary Poppins." That is, if Mary Poppins got puked on during the day by little kids then went on to do jokes about it that evening...
Comedy is my passion and I use it as my ministry; what's that saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?" Well, I prefer "When life gives you lemons, come up with a good punchline." I think being able to find the humor in life, both the good and the bad, tends to make things a little more bearable. I'd rather laugh than cry anyday, wouldn't you? Besides, comedy is cheaper than therapy.

I have an online store where I peddle my comedy wares; click the link below to shop now!
