B. L. Roberts was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the parents of James and Josephine Minnifee. B.L. is a native of the music capitol of the world, Nashville, Tennessee, who knew at an early age that the Lord had called her to minister in song. She is the youngest girl of eight siblings who continue to reside in Nashville. B.L. left Nashville in 1983, where her travels took her to Fort Stewart, Georgia, where she gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1988, she then moved to Junction City, Kansas, to the Church Of Deliverance, under the tutelage of Bishops Robert and Dr. Mary E. Pope. There, at the Church Of Deliverance, she is a praiseleader, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. It was there that her bishop, Dr. Mary E. Pope prophesied, and confirmed, along with several Elders in the ministry, what God had in store for her future, and music ministry. B.L. began singing and writing gospel music in her early twenties, out of the hurts and joys that come from life's circumstances that everyone (If you live long enough) have, are and will experience. She has written thirteen anointed songs at the present that are just a catalyst waiting to be heard, of how God would, can and will bring you through!
B.L.'s ministry genre is from the traditional praise and worship, to contemporary music, inspired to take you "back to the altar!"
