About Brian

Brian%20Dyck
Quantcast
/>Brian Dyck: For the past 15 years his music could best be described as the soundtrack of his life. This ever growing, ever changing artist has been on a journey of finding his identity as a musician, as a vocalist, and as a songwriter. From Folk like ballads, to Rock driven Choruses, Brian has sung about hope and faith, love and grace. He has sung about the love for his wife, the dawning of a new day and the amazing wonder of grace, the realization of a love given yet not deserved. Brian's early days were mostly spent as a soloist, performing in competitions looking for validation as a vocalist. Later he would begin to sing in operettas, A Capella quartets, and choirs knowing that somehow God had something much greater in mind, so one day Brian borrowed an old Classical guitar from his uncle and began teaching himself to play. At the age of 20 he learned to play his first chords, and began the writing of this soundtrack. Brian often describes this early music as a conversation, the cry of his heart to his Creator. He says that at first it was hard for him to share that which was intended for God with others. It wasn't meant to draw attention to him; rather it was his own prayers, his own rejoicings, and his own conversations with God. Since the early days, Brian has come to appreciate that though he is writing music to communicate his own heart to God, to his Savior...he also hopes that through his journey to wholeness, that others may also be drawn to a place where they can come to know God in a more intimate, personal way like he did. The next step of this saga will take him somewhere he's never gone before. A road that yearns to be traveled yet remains unseen. This road sees Brian making his first trip to the studio, where he'll begin recording the first professional demo of his career. While there are many more tracks yet to be written, and a myriad of experiences yet to be had on his "road less traveled", he invites you all to come along with him on this extraordinary adventure which he now says, "...will not stop until the great appearing of our Saviour, when at long last we shall all be perfected, complete".

On a lighter note, I've been pondering other intriguing questions first and foremost is: Why in the world do we drive on parkways, and park on driveways? Have you ever noticed that on airline air sickness bags it says - after use fold down top.... (login or sign up to read more)

Who do you listen to/look up to?   5/15/2007 - 12:39 PM
Here is a question that I hope will get us thinking some. In Society who are the people we put 'stock' in. The people we look up to, and listen to. People who, when they speak we listen. So Time magazine makes a list of the 100 most influenti... (login or sign up to read more)
