Hope Courtland escaped her marriage to save her life. Her only regret is leaving her four-year-old stepson, Joshua, behind. Though she wants custody, no attorney is willing to tackle her ex-husband in a custody battle. Hope's faith begins to falter. She learns that Joshua is paying the consequences for her freedom, and in an act of desperation, she kidnaps him. Suddenly, she becomes a suspect in her ex-husband's murder.

Zack Stone is content to be sheriff of Pine Cove, Tennessee, where the worst conflict he faces is handing out speeding tickets. Though his faith is strong, he struggles with issues of forgiveness surrounding his wife's death. When he rescues Hope in a rainstorm, the last thing he expects is to find a woman who stirs his heart. Being a small town sheriff shouldn't involve kidnapping and murder, but Zack can't turn his back on Hope and the little boy she loves.

About Carol Ann Erhardt
I am a devoted wife to my soulmate. We have been happily married for 29 years. Together we have eight children and 23 grandchildren. I love to write, read, camp, and walk. We are active members our our church and belong to a study/share group which meets on Sunday evenings where we discuss "Life's Challenges."

We live in Columbus, Ohio, and have no desire to become snowbirds since we love the four seasons. We also love being close to family. With all our children and grandchildren our home is truly blessed during the Christmas season. We enjoy the children's performances at church and the camaraderie at our annual family Christmas celebration dinner.

I am a full-time executive administrative assistant, and in my spare time (lunch hours, weekends, and evenings) I pen my novels. God has been so good and he has blessed my life in many ways.

You can find my nonfiction stories in Chicken Soup to Inspire a Woman's Soul; Chicken Soup for the Mother Daughter Soul II, Chicken Soup for the Soul Celebrates Mothers; Cup of Comfort for Grandparents. Three of my novels have been published--the first two contemporary romantic suspense, and my most recent, Joshua's Hope, is an inspirational romantic suspense which came after praying and asking God what He wanted me to write.

The video trailer for Joshua's Hope features our youngest daughter, her husband and their son. The narrator's voice is mine. I've been blessed with wonderful reviews for this book, and it has been nominated for an Eppie Award and a CAPA award. I know that God has blessed me with a way to entertain and to also bring honor to Him. If I can touch one heart and show there is hope through knowing Jesus, then I have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.
