Who am I? Well, I'm "not" the Casting Crowns' song, but I am a songwriter who sings. I've been writing for over 30 years now, but I teach English to pay the bills. I love my job but can't seem to get rid of the music in my system. The Lord inpires me so much sometimes that I can write ten to twelve songs in a month without blinking. I am not interested in becoming an artist who tours the countryside at this point in my life, but I do enjoy the creative process very much! What have I accomplished in my life? Well, my most major musical accomplishment was winning my category and going on to the finals of the GMA Songwriting Competition in 1995 with a song I wrote called "Daddy, Where's the Lamb?" I was presented with my humble award by Cindy Morgan, whose writing I have admired for years, and I had many doors open up for me as a result. I got to work with Cindy Wilt at Benson Records when I moved to Nashville, but because my wife at the time was still living in Ohio teaching, I grew homesick and left the music business to teach full-time.
