Loretta Williams Gurnell is a soul-stirring psalmist, speaker, lyricist and actor. Starring in the role of Velma in the hit play, Crowns, Loretta received rave reviews in the Houston Chronicle and the Houston Press. In 2006, she was selected as runner-up for the Texas Gospel Announcer's Guild New Artist Showcase. Loretta has also been selected for the 2007 Inaugural edition of Who's Who in Black Houston as an outstanding entrepreneur along with Houston's finest such as Beyonce Knowles, Gerald B. Smith, Percy Cruezot-Frenchy's Chicken, Yolanda Adams, George Forman and a host of other prominent movers and shakers in the Houston Black community.
