Michelle (Shelle) Frelo
Founder & President Just For Us Ministries

A native Californian, who thinks of herself as a southerner being raised in New Orleans, LA. She returned to her birthplace as a teen.

Shelle was transplanted from the coast of California to Missouri in 1998.

The eldest of three children she and her siblings are extremely close. They have been blessed to share the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Shelle has had to endure obstacles and tragedies in her life. Those obstacles include: physical, sexual, and emotional abuse imposed on her by her step father, grandmother, and uncle, homelessness, poverty, racism within her own ethnic group and beyond, her insecurities about her self worth and physical looks all helped to shape the women that she would become.

Shelle learned to depend on God's extraordinary mercies and grace to get her through those dark times. The challenges God allowed in her life prepared her to understand and connect with women and youth on many different levels.

God spoke to Shelle's heart to begin a ministry for women and youth. In 1989 Shelle began Just For Us Ministries. The ministry started as a outreach newsletter. God blessed and it grew from there. Just For Us Ministries it allowed Shelle to share with all those the ministry touched the knowledge that she had about the awesomeness of God. She was able to stand on the knowledge that an ordinary woman can live by extraordinary faith despite her circumstances or her fears through the power of Holy Spirit. This enabled her to share with anyone who would listen the truth that if God could do that for her, He could certainly do it for all those who trust in Him.

Shelle's life experiences have broadened over the years, giving her an even deeper understanding and connection with the women and youth around her.

She has been married for 20 years and has only one baby named "Zowie" her Tibetan Terrier. However when asked does she have any children she is quick to reply "Yes, about 600 of them" she worked as an Behavior Interventionist for a public school, has a 40 piece youth choir, and currently works as a youth leader in her church. Shelle refers to all of them as her babies.

Shelle knows that God has not completed the vision He gave her so many years ago. She also realizes that human beings are not perfect and must stay watchful that they do not fall into the traps of the enemy. It is for this reason she asks that as she works through the guidance of the Holy Spirit to develop and implement the vision that God put on her heart that you lift the ministry, herself, and those serviced or affiliated with the ministry up in prayer.
