What is your greatest concern in life?! What is the one thing in life that causes your heart to cry out for most passionately? What is your first thought each morning? What is that one thing that makes your heart soar higher than all other things? In Luke 10:41-42 Martha was all wrapped up in serving God according to the customs of her day. She was all engrossed in and driven by worldly distractions and appearances. So much so that she was frustrated that Mary would not leave her chosen desire to help her fulfill hers. She requested of the Lord that He command Mary to leave His presence and join her in her worry and upset that the details of worldly protocol might be viewed as less than perfect.
In all actuality Martha was wrapped up in and indulging the desire of her flesh. (Just think of it, her request of God was, "Lord, make Mary do what I want instead of what you have commanded of her." Martha knew of the command to put God first. All the Israelites new this command) However, Mary had chosen to obey it and refused to be distracted from that which held her heart spell-bound and enraptured with joy! The pleasure of Christ presence was so dear to her that the world could not rob her of that which she derived from sitting captivated at His feet. Mary understood that in God's presence there is pleasure, provision and protection. See Psalm 91; 16:11.And she was not going to miss out on that for anything the world could demand of or offer her.

God wants His children to learn that the greatest truth in life is that seeking Him first will put everything else in the proper perspective. And keep you always in His presence. See Matthew 6:33. There is one most interesting thing about God, He never tells His people to worry. In fact He forbids it in His family. Philippians 4:6-7, Psalm 37:8. He tells us to seek His presence, to put Him and His kingdom's welfare first, to behold His beauty and inquire of Him concerning His perfect will and plan of us. 1 Chronicles 28:9. And when we do this, when trouble comes our way, (and it will surely come) He will hide us in His pavilion, in His secret place. He will place us high upon the rock of our salvation where trouble must flee and the warmth of His love will comfort, protect and provide all of our needs according to the riches of His glory. See Psalm 27:4-5; Philippians 4:19. This is not merely a theory to be debated but a reality to be experienced.

Many are the stumbling blocks that are set before each of us to keep us from God's presence. Because, that is where peace abounds and blessings flow. Christ has freed us from the curse of the law, but He has not freed us from the obligation of living according to or by it. Therefore, seek His face, and He will teach you His ways. And lead you in a smooth path, because it is only He who knows all the onslaughts, and ambushes of your enemies. Psalm See 27:11. Copyright © Sylvia F. Liani 2009

OUT OF THE DARKNESS INTO THE LIGHT


There is a river of life flowing! See Revelations 22:1. Giving and preserving life to those who drink. Are you approaching it with a tanker, a barrel, a bucket, or a spoon?! Wouldn't it be great if all God's people would just dive in and fully go with the flow of life that is stored up for and awaiting us in Christ? No nibbling around the edges of the bread of life but completely consuming the spiritual nourishment of our redemption? See John 6:3, 48. Our father has not only delivered us out of the kingdom of darkness, He has brought us forth into the kingdom of His eternal sovereignty! And in this awesome place where He has designed us to be, His knowledge and wisdom is made available to us. He has determined that we in the likeness of Himself may be observable instruments of His holiness. God has purposed that through us, He will implement His goodness throughout the whole earth. However, this is a voluntary position not an automatic one. He will never force our participation. Forced labor is not His aim. He wants a fully functioning family who will cooperate with Him in His mission of loving a lost and desperate people from a life of destruction and defeat, into one of abundance in all the facets of life! He wants our trust! This He must have in order to be able to display Himself through us. He wants us to relax and enjoy the fullness of His Spirit as well as minister its benefits to others! He also wants us to know that the world will not love us! It will hate us just as surely as it hated Jesus. They will try to trap, reticule and persecute us in order to stop us from bring forth on this earth that for which we have been created and commissioned to do by way of God's Spirit. He has brought us into His kingdom by the blood of the Lamb and genuineness of our faith. Faith which He has given to us and expects us to use until it becomes greater and greater in measure. In other words He desires us to grow up in Him so completely that the world will see that we are here as representative of the supernatural function of His divine kingdom in an earthly natural world. See Romans 12:3; Ephesians 4:15; Matthew 13:31-32. We are vessels through whom His Spirit is meant to flow freely. We have been anointed and the Spirit of the Lord is upon us as it was upon Jesus. 1 John 4:17 tells us: Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment because as He (Jesus) is so are we in this world. Therefore, as the Spirit of the Lord was upon Jesus, He is now upon us. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." Sorry it has taken me awhile to respond back. I have been a busy little beaver. I had my last missions class tonight and I graduate on Thursday. Praise God no more homework but I have learned alot.
The wedding plans are pretty much done. I can't believe I will be getting married in 3 1/2 weeks. It has gotten here fast. I think I'm looking more forward to the honeymoon than the wedding. :)

Given the current distress and perplexity which the world is experiencing, inspirationally caused by the forces that be through man and nature, it is important that certain mysteries are brought to light at this time, that the wearied soul may find comfort in understanding the time and season, and his designed course and ordained destiny, as the end of the journey and its glory are upon you: for every journey must have an end. Individual appointed times are gradually unfolding unto the full knowledge of God's grace, as the last fulfillment is at the door; grace to you: for Peace, the latter rain, whom you seek, and whom the world esteems not, is in your midst, incognito: for as it was at the first, so again it is at the last!

To he that has perception: Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open (expound) the book, and to loose (interpret) the seven seals thereof. Thus you were told to watch: for he comes as a thief. And understand the presence of a thief: for he never comes announced; but is in your midst, yet unawares to anyone but he that he makes his presence known to: incognito. Let he that has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches (the body of faiths), even unto all men: it is the voice (doctrine: testimony) of the seventh angel (Peace: the last). The peace of the Father, which is accorded the Son, be with you; and the love of the Father, whom you are, ever to be reflected unto your brethren. Shalom! Salaam! Namaste!
