About Paul A. Rose, Jr.
Hard to nail down just one thing about me. I am a Senior Editor at Infuze Magazine (InfuzeMag.com) where we explore the intersection of faith and art, in all possible permutations. All truth is God's truth. Recently, I took on management of the Television Department for INFUZE. Sadly, due to some corporate finagling, INFUZE is soon going the way of the dinosaur. The future is fresh and bright - I just can't tell you what it is yet... Stay tuned for more details on the future of our stake in the landscape of Christian culture. Also trying to launch a writing career in between too many other things.

I pay my bills by working *way* too much. I am still working part-time for the local sheriff's office where I spent 6 years doing forensic video (not at all like what they show on TV, unless you're watching The Wire). That may soon be changing - as in I may be returning full-time, but not in the same capacity. I am an actor & writer for the Murder Mystery train of the Seminole Gulf Railway in Fort Myers, and I'm a conductor for the Historical Excursion trains. I work for my old pal Joe Lenders running the switcher at the City of Cape Coral City Council meetings. And I do freelance writing and editing for video projects.

I lead worship at my church, Family of God, which meets at Trafalgar Elementary School in Cape Coral. I also have a ministry to teach churches and their members what the Bible says about money and practical means to apply those principles to their lives.

So who am I? A guy who wants to make a difference in whatever way I can. Which has become increasingly more difficult given recent developments in my personal life. But God is good - really, He is.

Urgent Prayer Request   1/20/2008 - 10:15 PM
Earlier this week my wife asked me for a divorce. Unfortunately, she belives that leaving me will also leave behind the pain she has experienced in the last year, due to a miscarriage and some other ongoing issues. I am not agreeing to the divorce ... (login or sign up to read more)

Fresh Start or Too Little Too Late?   3/10/2007 - 9:08 PM
Well, I started posting "new" material on my Infuze blog, but to be honest, saw less response than I expected, which was, of course disappointing (why are we creative types so in need of attention?). I began my quest through old fiction writing with... (login or sign up to read more)

Unfinished Works Coming   12/17/2006 - 6:41 PM
As a few of you know, I am a Senior Editor at Infuze Magazine, but I haven't posted much personally lately, although I've kept up with Keywords (most of the time). Somehow life got really, really busy. However, with the new year, I am anticipating ... (login or sign up to read more)

hey paul,

just reading your blog about the situation with your wife. it's interesting that you think much of her decision has been driven by her depression following miscarriage. another friend of ours has been dealing with his wife's request for a divorce, which came just a few months after the birth of their first child. i think, similarly, her mental health has taken a battering and she is convinced that if she can remove herself from the marriage that she will find healing. the problem though, as i'm sure you know, is that everywhere we go, we're there. we can leave one situation, but if the problem is within us, we will take it into the next situation.

i agree with you that right now, the best thing to be focussed on is your wife's healing. i pray that she will seek counselling and allow the Holy Spirit to restore the broken areas of her soul. i pray that God gives you all the srength you need to get through this time, and fills you with compassion, grace and wisdom.
