About Paul Alan
Well let me see... I am a suburban Nashville resident, though a transplant from the great state of Michigan (no Appalachian State comments please). I, like every other Nashville transplant, am a singer/songwriter who once had a dream. I still have a dream, only a different one. More importantly, I am a husband and a father. I am deeply Christian, but I don't speak the language. I'm not particularly fond of vegetables. My favorite authors are Anne Lamott and C.S. Lewis. I do not like hunting, fishing, or winter. I do not like lakes, but I love the ocean. Not the beach, mind you, just the ocean. I am annoyed by people who flick their cigarette butts out the window of their car and onto the streets where we all must live together; but I am not confrontational so I never say anything. U2 is the best band ever. The worst is probably Firehouse. I read Motor Trend magazine every month but do not have a subscription. I am hopeful. I try to do the right thing, but often fail. I can't figure God out. I probably do not try hard enough. I watch golf on television. I want everyone to like me. I often apologize even though I am right. I love quotes. Eleanor Roosevelt once said "Do one thing each day that scares you..." An example of that for me would be trusting God to catch me when I jump. I'm currently staring over the edge...

See you soon.

Hi Paul, I found out yesterday by my daughter (Sam) that you were on this site, I absolutly love your song "To Bring you Back", I haven't quit figured out why, if it is the words or what, but the song has really touched me. I turn on Air1 just so I can try and listen to that song. I can't listen to it at work, which isn't fair, but now that I know you are here, I can just come to your page and listen to it...of course until I can afford to buy the CD. Hope you accept me friend request and God Bless. Thanks

I heard your song "She's The Reason" a while back on Air1 and loved it. It came on at least once a day for a couple of weeks, then it disappeared and nothing new from you came back on. Then, today, "To Bring You Back" was playing, and the link here was under the song info.

I'm glad to hear you again. I've missed your music. Keep it up, and God bless.

I'm super stoked on 'Drive It Home' - I downloaded it today and have listened to it twice already! Great tunes, I especially enjoy 'Wreckage' and 'Drive It Home'. It's definitely worth buying, an excellent follow-up recording to 'Falling Awake'! Great job Paul- I'll look forward to seeing how this does on the new label for you.
