I am Pacita. Originally from Philly, I am a Christian songwriter/musician, (Bass and Violin). I am NOT a singer. Therefore, in order for people to hear my music, I get my Friends to sing, thus the name.
The Body of Christ is so diverse and God has given me music of a number of different styles which include classical, jazz, Latin, Celtic, Hebrew, Country, etc. Though my style is very diverse it tends to be very relaxed. I call it "Smooth Gospel". However, it is all full of the Word of God. Some of the songs are directly from scripture. When I score the music, I generally include the scripture references. It is meant to deliver the Word in such a way that people who are saved will continue to search the scripture. It can be used as a tool to minister. Also, Ministers can use the songs to introduce and enforce their message.
I also hope to help shed light on untapped talent in the Richmond Va. area. I have used singers from various age groups. The youngest was a young boy who was 13 when he recorded his first song on my CD entitled, "It's All About Jesus". (You can hear some of the songs at http://cdbaby.com/cd/pacitasfriends) He sings a jazz tune called, "Like a Little Child", where he scats and really brings the song to life. I am always on the look out for just the right voice for my songs.
I think my group is a wonderful example of how God gives us each different gifts, but together, we can make something beautiful. I don't even try to sing. I am happy with what I have been given and I try to work at improving just those things. The members of the group celebrate each other and are thoroughly blown away by each other. I have tapes of some of our engagements where you can see each singer enter into worship as they listen to each other minister. There are no ego driven members and everyone is so supportive of each other. I love what God is doing. My next project, "Nevertheless, He Came", has just been released and is also available at http://cdbaby.com/cd/pacitasfriends2
Currently, I minister with several groups and churches: Sounds of Rapture, Offering Band, Shawn Heckstall, Second Baptist (Southside), 21st St. Church of God, In Season, as well as my group. I am also a parole officer in Williamsburg, Va. Mother of three and grandmother of 6.

Thanks so much for adding me to your friends! I'm so sorry if I kept you waiting - I haven't been here for quite a while, but now we're catching up, and we've updated a lot of things.
Check out the new songs! My new album will be out soon, and also check out the video from our tour in Kenya and the UK - it's set to my new single that's at radio now, "Your Great Name". We hope you love it, and would love to hear your thoughts!
God bless you, and I hope I see you often!

Greetings, If we can be of any assistance in bringing your vision to pass, please make it known. We are all interdependent on each other and we all have something to contribute.
We are not afraid of being "used". Only useful people get used.

Too much stress, too much trying to pull us in all directions to distract us from our highest calling.

LIFE: From Your Friends at
Lingk2us.com
What makes you uniquely special? What would you do if time or money were of no object? Or what big idea have you been quietly nursing as time passes by?
Many of us spend our lives trying to answer these questions to no avail while others push these thoughts aside and get on with the business of practical living. As human beings, we are all not only born with inherent gifts, talents and abilities, but also posses the capacity to directly or indirectly impact our immediate surroundings. Yet somehow, much of it gets lost in the hustle and bustle of every day life. Think about the things you did as a kid, when you were limited only by your imagination?before paying the mortgage became the priority or well intended friends and family members callously wrote on the tablets of your heart. If you could mentally revisit that simpler time; obvious clues about your authentic self and your life's purpose would become apparent. Were you the 'go to' kid in the block? You know, the popular one!The one who's natural leadership ability and 'Big' ideas rallied the group into action. Or maybe you were the more creative type. The kid who explored every hue under the rainbow and through the use of odds and ends and other homespun materials, created imaginative designs that far superseded the ability of his peers. Whoever you are; remember that your true self (the kid you have been carrying with you all along) along side time, money and your ability to dream big are God given assets to help you reach your fullest potential. And remember that as long as you have the gift of life it's never to late explore the possibilities.
Link to us and be inspired.
