...the word "NecRoSarX" is a composite of two words: "NECRO", the latin word for "dead", and "SARX", the Greek word for "flesh". So my name means "Dead Flesh", which is represented by the scripture reference Colossians 3:5-11. I first took this moniker in 1997, when I started getting involved in the Xian Goth and Industrial scene. Ostensively, I consider myself a Therapy Patient, which has its roots in the Xian Shock Rock subculture, specifically the band Rackets & Drapes. Any questions, feel free to ask...
...I started using Uncle NecRo back in 2003, when my sister and brother-in-law informed me that I'd be an uncle in real life...
...this is my personal website, where I put all of my Xian music reviews, articles, interviews, links and general brain droppings. I named it The Padded Cell, because it reflects my philosophy as an Xian, and how society (and Westernized Christianity) views myself and those like me, as insane and needing to be shunted away and ignored.
...I've been reviewing underground Xian music since 1992, in my own self-published 'zine, one a couple of online music sites, and currently for Automatia Magazine, which focuses more on the Christian goth, industrial, and electronic music scenes. The number of reviews I've done over the years number a few hundred, and it keeps growing...
...at the beginning of 2007, I launched NECRO SHOCK RADIO, a downloadable MP3-cast featuring twelve cuts of Xian wackiness. Essensially a way to satisfy my inner DJ, and to put my insanly huge music collection to use.
