Monty Brinkley has been blessed by God with a dynamic singing voice and a creative talent for writing music. His music appeals to audiences of all ages. Monty recorded his first solo project entitled, Reign Down On Me, in 1994. His second solo project, Stay at the Cross, was completed in 1996. In 2002 Monty recorded Can't Live Another Day Without You, a praise and worship CD. He is currently working with Jeff Ferguson publishing. Can't Live Another Day Without You was released through Riverspring Music. (www.riverspring.com) Monty is also working on a praise and worship CD with the EWCSA Worship Team which should be available soon.
Monty was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, in October, 1965. His musical experience began at age four when he began singing in his home church. The first of Monty's songs was given to him in the eighth grade, and God has been developing this talent ever since that time. After spending a year at Dallas Baptist University, Monty began touring with the gospel trio, "Harmony." He then enrolled at Oklahoma Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree in 1990. Monty spent several of his college years playing with a secular band out of Oklahoma City. During this time, Monty signed as a writer with George Tobin out of L.A., who produced several of his songs with the artists "P.C. Quest" and "Tiffany". One of his songs made "Billboard's top 100". His songs have appeared on "Dance Party USA," "Entertainment Tonight," "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" and various TV and movie productions throughout the world. Monty has since used these experiences as a basis for his ministry. Monty's primary passion in music has turned to Worship. He has been in full time ministry since 1993 and now serves at Emmanuel Worship Center, San Antonio as Worship Pastor. Monty, his wife Tracy and his children Jeremiah, Anna, Samuel and Alayna reside in San Antonio.
