About Mitch Malloy
Mitch Malloy's passion for music is as much a part of him as breathing. His earliest memories found him taking solace in music and later on communicating through music. His first experience singing before an audience was as a child in church and since then his most comfortable means of expression has been through lyric and melody.

Mitch spent his childhood seizing every musical opportunity in his small hometown of Dickinson, ND - from church to school musicals to his own rock band. He even traded his second love, basketball, to stay focused on music. After high school he headed off to the Cornish Institute of Allied Arts in Seattle. It wasn't long before his focus shifted from his studies at the conservatory to getting back to writing and performing. He saved up his money, bought an old VW bus and headed to New York.

Mitch soon found himself thriving in the music business and was signed to RCA. He recorded his first two albums with notable producers Sir Arthur Payson and Christopher Neal - which generated three Top-Twenty hits. His most memorable collaboration was singing a duet with Paul Carrack, "Ready To Go Home."

But it was his songwriting relationships that truly changed the course of his musical direction. He asked to go to Nashville to write with Mike Reid, Dennis Morgan and Mac McAnally and the course of his life began to change. Mitch fell in love with Nashville, especially the respect given to the lyrics in this community. He always felt that his music was meant to move people?to touch them and make the world a better, more spiritual place.

He soon asked out of his record deal, moved to Nashville and extended his writing relationships to include Gary Burr, Victoria Shaw, Monte Powell, Richard Leigh, Jim Weatherly and Tim Owens, to name a few. His vocal skills were sought by diverse groups, from international labels, tribute bands and even for the third incarnation of VanHalen (which, although flattered, he passed on the offer).

Still something was missing - a void that major pop record deals, fronting a legendary rock band or publishing deals couldn't fill. Mitch's deep sense of Christianity and his desire to share his spirituality was overwhelming. His work wasn't just about creating music?it was much more. His mission was to use his talents of singing, songwriting and performing to give people a message of hope and happiness.

Mitch reveals, "There are so many distracting, negative forces in our world today. I remember how music was such an uplifting part of my childhood and on into my adult life. I feel a responsibility - a calling - to take my gifts, my experience and my life and focus them on sharing the message of God's love, grace and mercy."

Mitch takes a tender childhood prayer and creates a moving anthem for all ages in "Amen." With "Fly" he expresses the euphoria of getting in step with God's will. The rocking melody of "You Can't Fool God" celebrates the eyes of love with which God looks at his children and values their worth?regardless.

Recently, Mitch has experienced more success in his music career by winning the International Songwriting Competition (out of +85,000 entries) and being a top artist, and the only unsigned artist, on Sirius Satellite Radio's Sirius 60 channel - he has 3 songs in rotation on their playlist. Additionally, Mitch's new Christian music is already being programmed on Sirius' Christian and AC stations. According to the program director, Scott Lindy, "Mitch's music isn't about fitting into a genre, it's about fitting into people's lives?and according to the great response we get from his music, he does that quite well."

Mitch's musical career and experiences have brought him to the best place in his life. A place where his relationship with God has shown him the power of love and forgiveness and the abundance of a Christian life. This is the message that Mitch Malloy has to share with the world.
