Hi my name is Misty Aiken .I was born August 13,1982 . At the age of two i started singing I sang in chorus all through school. I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 9 YEARS old . my life hasnt never been easy but God has always been there for me.Guideing me. I started going to my home church when I was 14 years ald at the age of 16 i was baptized and started singing in the choir. the Lord has really Blessed me with a christain husband who is our churches Organist and is a great father too our 2 beautiful children Mckensie who is three and Daniel who is 2. i surrendered to the Lord in 2006 after the loss of my dad three years earlier. i sang my first church solo on my 24th birthday last year .On April 7th of this year I signed with insong productions to record my first solo gospel album entitled "He understands My tears. " these songs are very special to me. Even though i didnt write them they touched my heart and help me share my testmony how the lord has been there for me .

IT'S KIND OF A SAD STORY, BUT EVEN GOD CAN USE SAD STORIES AND TURN THEM IN TOO A TESTIMONY OF HIS GOODNESS. I WAS BROUGHT UP IN An ALCOHOLIC HOME WERE MY DAD WOULD BEAT MY MOM AND MADE ME AND MY SISTER WATCH, I WOULD GO TO SCHOOL LOOKING FOR AN ESCAPE BUT ALL I FOUND WAS MORE PAIN. THROUGH SCHOOL I WAS TOLD BY TEACHERS I WAS A DUMB CHILD AND I WOULD NEVER AMOUNT INTO ANYTHING
THEY WENT AS FAR AS CALLING ME INTO THE OFFICE EVERYDAY TO CHANGE MY CLOTHES BE CAUSE THE CLOTHES I WORE TO SCHOOL WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. . MY FIRST MEMORY OF CHURCH WAS WHEN I WAS IN EIGHT YEARS OLD, DADDY SAID HE FOUND JESUS, LIKE IT WAS JESUS WHO WAS LOST INSTEAD OF HIM, SO DADDY STOPPED DRINKING, AND HURTING MOMMA, AND WE STARTED GOING TO HEARTBEAT A CHRISTIAN TV MINISTRY WHERE I
LEARNED ABOUT JESUS AND HIS LOVE FOR ME .AND AT THE AGE OF NINE WAS SAVED.BY THE AGE OF TWELVE WE STOPPED GOING TO CHURCH DADDY SAID THE PASTOR MADE HIM MAD AND HE GAVE UP ON GOD TOO. LATER ON THAT YEAR DADDY SAID GOD WANTED US IN HEAVEN WITH HIM AND DADDY WAS GOING TO SEE THAT WE WERE HE BOUGHT A PISTOL AND MADE A GUN BELT AND HAD FOUR BULLETS ONE FOR EACH OF US AND PLANNING ON TAKING OUR LIVES THEN HIS. BUT THANK GOD SOMETHING STOPPED HIM THAT DAY. AT THE AGE OF FOURTEEN I STARTED GOING TO MY HOME CHURCH IN GRAHAM NC WHERE I MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE AT THE AGE OF 17 AND TWO YEARS LATER WE WERE MARRIED THERE. IN NOVEMBER OF 2002 MY DAD GOT REALLY ILL BECAUSE HE STARTED DRINKING AGAIN AFTER HE WAS WARNED BY THE DOCTOR IF HE TOOK A NOTHER DRINK IT WOUD KILL HIM. DAVID AND I WAS PLANNING A TRIP TO CELEBRATE OUR ANNIVERSARY AND THE FACT THAT WE WERE GOING TO BECOME PARENTS. BEFORE WE LEFT I WENT TO SEE MY DAD ,AND HE TOLD ME "WHEN YOU COME BACK I WONT BE HERE. " I LOOKED AT MY DAD STRANGELY AND SAID WHAT DO YOU MEAN. HE REPEATED THE SAME THING,"WHEN YOU COME BACK I WONT BE HERE. " I HUGGED DADDY AND TOLD HIM HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND I LOVED HIM AND I WOULD SEE HIM WHEN I GOT BACK. AFTER WE GOT HOME I GOT A MESSAGE ON MY PHONE THAT I NEEDED TO COME QUICK THAT DADDY WAS IN THE HOSPITAL.AND THINGS DIDNT LOOK GOOD, DADDY HAD LIVER CANCER AND ONLY HAD TWO WEEKS TO LIVE.I WATCHED HIM GET SICKER AND SICKER ON DECEMBER 12 2002 @ 9:23 PM DADDY PASSED AWAY AND I BLAMED GOD , FOR THREE YEARS I BLAMED GOD FOR EVERYTHING
I REMEMBER I KEPT SAYING LORD WHERE WERE YOU , WHEN I NEEDED YOU , YOU MOST NOT LOVE ME ,THE DEATH OF MY FATHER MADE ME BLIND TO GOD'S NEVER ENDING LOVE THAT HE HAS FOR ME,AND HAS ALWAYS HAD FOR ME EVEN BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME HE LOVED ME. I CARRIED HATERED AND BITTERNESS AROUND FOR SO LONG, I STARTED GETTING DEPRESSED.AND IT STARTED HARMING MY FAMILY LIFE. I STARTED WANTING TO BLOCK EVRYTHING OUT OF MY LIFE GOOD,AND BAD. I WENT SO FAR AS EVEN QUITING CHURCH.
I DID FOR TWO MONTHS WE WENT TO DIFFERENT CHURCHES ,BUT I KEPT BEING REMINDED OF THE ONE I LEFT MY CHURCH FAMILY. IN JANUARY 2006 I DEDICATED MY LIFE TO GOD AGAIN. LORD USE ME I SURENDER I CANT DO IT ON MY OWN I NEED YOU . AS I WENT TO CHURCH FAITHFULLY I WATCHED AND LISTENED THE SPECIAL MUSIC BEFORE THE SERVICE ALWAYS TOUCHED ME IN A DIFFERENT WAY, THIS IS WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO DO FOR GOD ,HE WANTS ME TO SING. AND I'VE BEEN SINGING EVER SINCE.
