"Mommy, tell me a story." When my children were young, I heard those words often. After making up a story to satisfy my daughter and sons, I would write it down. A few years later, I wrote some children's stories and sold them to "Bread for God's Children" and some devotionals for The Children's Bible Hour. What fun to get some spending money for doing something I enjoyed so much. I later tried my hand at a children's book, which is finished, but filed away. Then, in 2001, I received THE CALL for a book my sister and I had written called Circle of Vengeance. We combined our names for the penname M. J. Conner. The ones I have written alone carry my name.

As for my family life, I am married to a great guy and we have one daughter, who is married with two daughters. Our oldest son is also married and has one daughter. Our youngest son, who is in no hurry to marry, says someday he will break this all girls thing we have going on when his future wife has a son. Sure! First he has to find a wife.
