Mullen, Pax 217, Earthsuit, KJ-52, John Reuben, FM Static, Stellar Kart, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns and NEVERTHELESS. Too busy to watch much of anything. I'd rather read a book.

First Impressions (2010)
Sammie Carpenter understands how a uniform influences behavior. Wearing her Army fatigues puts her in the mindset of a soldier and donning her Class-A Uniform always helps her shift into Captain Mode. So what harm could come from her dressing like a saloon girl and strutting through the streets of Tombstone? When she met the lonesome stud cowboy, Jimmy, she knew he was the one. So why was their communication always so awkward? No matter how hard she tried to win him over, she couldn't seem to get him to see past his first impression of her. But Sammie didn't give up easily. Somehow she would make him see that they were meant to be together, but how can she do that when all of her plans keep falling apart?

"Listen and Your Soul Shall Live"
The words of a young man uttered silently into the heavens as if his life depends on it saying... "Save me... save me... my heat is in need of something more than what I am worth". As he glanced over his left shoulder, an image of something abnormal came to pass; this startled the young man at once with no expression on his face. However, the less he thought the more his tears became joy his frown into a smile, and a presence surrounding him like no other. He responded: Hello, Father... is that you? The young man heard no response (as of yet). He became worried and discouraged. As he sat ... and sat ... and sat ... The voice became unto the young man again this time clearly into his right ear, it said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit; for there's is the Kingdom of heaven". The young man became receptive to what was said as he sat... and sat... and sat some more, when he rose up a good time before day he noticed he had sat in the same place for two whole days. Then finally, he understood what the voice meant by his words. As the young man got up, his breathe, his hands, his feet, arms, legs and his heart was brand new surely revitalized by the presence of the Holy Spirit? In addition, his heart was filled with overwhelming un-expecting joy, peace and understanding. As he accepted Christ into his heart, his purpose was revealed to him as well, and now, his life in the hands of our maker..
Such a dedicated soul in faith had a question; yet was unsure about his spirituality; yet truthful was his words as he spake them from his lips to the Kingdom in Heaven. So long live the young man who converted, transformed and dedicated his life back over to Christ. Regardless of his confusion and conformation to the world his spirit drew him back to Christ, totally unaware of what could happen. The moral to the story is if he can do it, every human being walking the face of the earth can as well. It doesn't matter what religion you are or what you support. As in the story, the young became exposed to the book of Matthew 5:3 and it took just that, to change a man's heart and to follow Christ. So ask yourself, what voice are you listening to because there is more than one out there? But the voice that matters the most, shall direct your purpose!

Thank you. I had tried for years to write, but was never able to. One day last year, God decided that it was time. He started talking and I started typing. The result is "Dragonfly Kisses and other inspirational stories". I have thoroughly enjoyed it and am thrilled with all of the feedback coming from it.
Melissa Evans on 1/06/10 - 7:47 AM
"Dragonfly Kisses" is the name of the first story in the book. It is my story of how God has comforted me through the loss of my daughter...by sending Dragonfly kisses.

Thank you SO much for the welcome!

Hiya kid !

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but we put on an all-nighter for the youth group and I've been in a coma ever since. I guess I am getting old. :-)
