I love listening to all types of music from Southern Gospel to Contemporary Christian and even artists like Josh Groban. I am a mix of it all I suppose.
Sounds Like:
People have said Martina McBride mixed with Faith Hill and a little bit of Patsy Cline
I Know How To Fly (2008)
A great mix of toe-tapping and soul inspiring music! Reaches into the heart of everyday struggles of Christians and non-Christians everywhere. You will experience every emotion while listening to this CD. Sit back and enjoy!
Coming from a family of differing musical abilities my interest in music started early in life. I remember singing on a table top at the age of three and loving it. My love of song started early. As a young person I was often involved in choir throughout my school years, yet I remained very shy about singing alone in front of others.
I was raised in a single parent home which proved to be very difficult for me as well as my Mother whom did her best. Mom helped me learn to love reading and soon introduced me to the Bible that she herself was reading. I remember praying the sinners prayer and asking Jesus into my heart at about the age of ten. Yet I did not experience a change in my life or attitude. I had an understanding of right and wrong, but my heart was never truly touched. I didn't fully understand that I was in need of a Savior. I entered adolescence full of questions and anger about my family situation. Needless to say, I made many, many bad decisions.
After years of living life without the Lord I finally reached a very low point. I knew I needed to change and that only God could help me. I reflected back on God's word that I had read when I was younger. I recalled the scriptures I had read and understood that God had given us His word to keep us from hurting ourselves as well as others. His desire is to protect us from needless pain and heartache. It all made sense at last. I then understood that I was a sinner! I realized the truth and faced the fact that I couldn't abide by God's rules without Him in my life. My heart had changed and I understood this on a deep level. Wow! It finally clicked into place all that I had read! All that I had heard before. He is the answer to all of my questions. That was in 1994 and I have never regretted accepting the Lord.
The joy of being right with God led me to follow in obedience and commit to grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ with a local church. Not long after joining, I felt God calling me to serve in the choir and whole heartily did just that. Before long I felt that God was wanting me to step out in faith and sing as a soloist. Through fear and trepidation I took that small step of faith and sang. God has brought me to a place of freedom from fear of performing by trusting Him that " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"! Trust and Faith that is the key. Now I am truly experiencing the joy of letting Him work through me and releasing the passion God gave me to sing.
After several years of growing as a soloist and having ministered through musical productions, nursing homes and other community events or venues, I felt God tugging at my heart once again to take a much larger step of faith. This step of faith produced this CD release and the enlargement of music ministry to include other area churches and beyond if the Lord so chooses.
God has blessed me with a wonderful supportive husband and two wonderful boys that mean the world to me. Did I deserve to be blessed in this way? Not really, but God is good. I am grateful that God is allowing me to serve him through music! Southern Gospel music is such a joy to sing and it ministers to many people in different age ranges. The stepping out in faith is a day to day thing for me. I'd like to say I've arrived , but really who can say that- besides, without leaning on the Lord, how could I say I've really walked with God?! Entering this exciting ministry at this phase of my life is surprising, yet it gives me great hope that God isn't through with me yet. And I am confident He's not through with you either!

Hey Melissa,
Thanks for the picture comment!!! Well, my trip to Atlanta was good. We were able to get 2 children sponsored and several packets went home with golfers. I pray they turn them in for sponsorship. We only had 19 golfers so I figured that was pretty good to get at least 2. I posted a few pictures out there as well. So, how are you? Boy it sure has gotten cold here. It's suppose to be in the upper 20's/lower 30's tonight. I can't believe I live in Florida with these temps. It's all good. Blessings to you!!!!
Love ya,
Michelle
Just had to share this great family photo with all of you.
We celebrated our baby Braydon's first birthday and this picture inspired in me this thought!!
"LIFE IS NOT GOOD UNLESS YOU GET IT ALL OVER YOU!!"
Jesus gave his life so that we can have life marked by GREAT PLENTY!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!
Some examples?..you say?
While you are moving to your next glory - enjoy the journey!!!
Laugh!!!
Jump for Joy!!!
Roll around in meadow of merriment!!!
Count your blessings (at least take inventory)!!!
Eat Cake!!
(try to keep it out of your nose - Braydon is about to sneeze cake in this pic)
Don't sweat the small stuff!!!!
Relax!!!!
Chill!!!
Make a new friend!!!
Encourage someone!!!
Smile!!!
Be good to each other!!!!
COME ON?..Spread it around (not germs, JOY, people)!!!!!
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
John 10:10
Again I say, LIFE IS NOT GOOD UNLESS YOU GET IT ALL OVER YOU!!
Can I get a Woo Hoo from somebody???
Anybody???
Jesus Hugs,

Ahhh...thanks Melissa. I was actually thinking of you today. Things are good here....just waiting to see what new door God is going to open for me.
I hope you too have a blessed day and yes...I too am enjoying the coolness. I love this weather...wish it would stay like this. :)
Hi there, just stopping in to say hello. And pray that our Father will surprise you with many new revelations and demonstrations of His personal love for you!
THE LIGHT OF LIFE
The Lord is the Light of your life whom should you fear! He delights in manifesting Himself in you and through you. It is in Christ, the Eternal Word that life exist. And that life is your light. And the life that is in Him is now in you causing you to see and become light also. And He longs to surprise and astonish you with all the wonderful facets, mysteries and hidden treasures of His love. The light of Christ in you reveals the power of love to you, which causes you to be fearless before your enemies. When danger threatens the light, which is yours in Christ, reveals the way of escape. This light is everlasting and the more you welcome and treasure it the more fearless and blessed you become. Christ is your salvation (your wholeness of life), He is your escape and your deliverance from all that is evil. He will hide you in His shelter, in the secret place of Himself, in that place where His trust becomes your trust. Because you have made your home in Him, He sets you high upon the rock of His infallibility. And in Him you are above all in this world and in the world to come and out of reach to the enemy which seeks to destroy you. You are higher than the powers of evil and the rulers of the earth. In calmness and meekness His strength becomes your strength. Even through hell throws a tantrum and its armies threateningly encamp all around you, your heart has no need to fear. Rejecting the control of your fallen flesh and opting instead to live in the control of the Holy Spirit results in Christ life being reproduced in you! In this state of being even when satan points His biggest guns at you, you will be fearlessly confident of the ensuing victory. See Psalm 27:13
My heart cries out for the fullness of God to explode in His people so that the supernatural blast of it will be heard around the world. And with a passion greater than the fallout of a thousand nuclear bombs they will invade the strongholds of evil. Tear them down and erect the strongholds of heaven for the honor and glory of our King. And that this will continue until the nations of this world have all become the nations of our God. In Jesus name. Amen!!!
Praying for you also a weekend filled with bursts of glory and explosions of understanding and an awesome vision of the future God has planned for you my beloved friend. I pray that your mind will be at peace and your heart filled with love and joy, as a song of jubilation flows from your lips.
Love and hugssssssssss

Hi, Melissa Jo, I obviously have not been on here in quite a while, but I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate such a sweet comment from you - thank you for taking the time to encourage me! That is a sweet heart. I hope you're having a great week, and God bless your ministry!
A Daily Blessing "I ask the Father in HIS great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through HIS Sprit."
Here is a scene repeated in Brazil thousands of times daily.
It's early morning. Time for children to leave for school.
As they gather their books and head for the door, the child pauses by his father's chair.
He searches his father's face and asks, Blessing, Father?
The father raises his hand and says with assurance, "God bless you, my child"
Father and child part for the day,
A BLESSING REQUESTED,
A BLESSING WILLINGLY GIVEN.
We should do the same.
Like a child longing for the FATHER'S FAVOR, each of us need a daily reminder of our heavenly Father's love.
Hey Melissa,
Well, the women's conference was wonderful this weekend and I did have to speak but God spoke through me and 8 children were sponsored. Praising God. I was also asked to attend Alicia's women's conference in March next year in Fairhope, AL. She is such a power speaker and has such a beautiful voice. She was absolutely wonderful and her husband and staff were too. I thank God so much for that door opening for me. I can't wait to see what new door opens. Actually I was also asked by Food for the Hungry if I would do more of what I did this weekend and I told her I would love to. It seems the more I speak the more comfortable I get...well that's not to say I'm not really nervous before but God is using me...I am His vessel now. WOW what a wonderful feeling.
So, I see you have a concert next weekend. I know it will be good. Maybe one day I will be able to come see you sing.
Well, take care and have a most blessed Sunday.
Talk to you later,
Love ya,
Michelle
