I live in beautiful Bellingham. Bellingham is in the Pacific Bay area - it's beutiful. Most of my children are close by, which gives me access to the grands - yea!!. I am a minister with the Church of God, and I love to write, draw, sing, and be around people. Most of my writings have a Christian theme that runs through them.
I've published one book: Meet Me at the Cross, One Woman's Testimony. It's about my life, challenges and victories. Meet Me At The Cross, can be bought from Lulu.com or downloaded (Pastor Jonita Johnson). Currently I'm finishing a book called, LORD, TAKE ME BACK: MENE'S STORY. I have started two more, 'The Journey',and 'Somebody Prayed For Me'; and written a number of Biblical articles and poems.
Travel is something I hope to do more of. I grew up in the midwest (Iowa, Kansas & Minnesota), Lived in Seattle for a lot of years, then moved to Mississippi, and now back to the Northwest. Shooting pool, bowling, making my own jewelry, sanding driftwood, slow walking by the water, and listening to gospel and instrumental jazz are among my favorite things to do.
Last year, co-founded and direct Bellingham Community Gospel Choir. A 30 voice choir that specializes in Gospel and Negro Spirituals. It is multi-ethnic with men and women singers.
Love dogs and birds, not a cat lover, but tolerate them okay - if they're not hyper.
