Other writers have always influenced me to write. To entertain readers with my words, is what keeps me doing it. It's a calling from God for me to write what is in my heart and mind.

Outside of writing, Mary Dressel works in a middle school assisting students and teachers. Although she fnds fulfillment working with students, writing will always be her "warm fuzzy." Research is a strong point of hers, and she soon learned to love the Victorian Era after doing research for the first two of four books in the Enchantment series.
In 1991 she received a Associate of Arts degree in Human Services with a speciality in Child Development. She is currently working on three other novels now that the second book in the series published. This second novel in the Enchantment Series is the continuing story of Eryn and Uriah from her first published novel, Visions of Enchantment.
At the time of writing the first two novels in this series, she owned a small, simple cabin in the Allegheny Mountains in The Allegheny National Forest. Two towns nearby, Tidioute, Pennsylvania and Franklin, Pennsylvania, were the inspirations for the Enchantment Series.
Two and a half years ago, she married her vision of enchantment. Between them, they have five children, and three grandchildren. They make their home in West Michigan.
