He has been writing music for over 20 years, but has committed most of his attention during that time to raising a family.
Maro's songwriting began as a teen while writing music for a talented local Christian singer. Occasionally, with his guitar in hand, he performed his songs in front of the church congregation with his wife performing vocals. He wrote up to 12 complete songs and over 20 additional song fragments by the age of 22 - the year he married. He had two children by the age of 24. For the next several years, he and his wife committed their full attention to their children. At night, he and his wife took turns attending University. During that time, Maro would earn a Ph.D. in physics, while his wife would complete a Master's in 'Child Studies' and would begin a doctorate. During this period he also partnered with some coworkers to start up a small business.
Although unable to fully dedicate to music for over a decade, he promised to write in his spare time. He determined to write at least one song every year although he usually wrote more. He accumulated more than 40 songs and over three times as many song fragments.
And so here he is on shoutlife hoping to share his songs with others! He's a flexible songwriter with 'back-to-the-basics' songs going wherever God will lead him.
God Bless!

Masterscore Music:
| 1 | In all these things (2007) | Lyrics | | A song about seeing God in the simple everyday matters. As a scientist, Maro feels that what's important is not what we claim to know about the world, but rather how we interpret the world.
|
| 2 | For the Childlike (2004) | Lyrics | | This song recounts the story of Christ from Gethsemane to final breath - a simple message for the childlike. |
| 3 | The Path of Most Resistance (1993) | Lyrics | | We are always eager with our words and actions, but are we aware of our true intentions? This 'prayer-in-song', has us pause and ask God to bring to light (convict us) our true motives. We are asked to enter through the narrow gate, to battle against our nature, and to be as honest as can be. The title, 'Path of most resistance' is a twist taken from a physical concept referred to as the 'path of least action (resistance)'. |
Maro is currently working on new songs and also arranging his 100 or more song fragments into instrumental pieces (piano solos). He is also involved with research towards computer generated music and expects to complete a book on the topic of science, philosophy, and faith.
