Since I haven't written in a long while, I thought a new entry was long overdue.
I found myself this afternoon trying to make sense of a trial I'm facing right now.
What the Lord put into my heart was me being like clay in His hands. I honestly...

There have been times in my life when I've needed help, advice or just a listening ear and there was none to be found. I'm writing about this because I've been asking the Lord for something concerning the music ministry and after a year I am still...

I reside in New York City and today is the City's big marathon. The interesting thing is that I have a book of daily scriptural meditations that I bought about seven years ago. It is entitled, "Grace for the Moment" and the title of today's medit...

Fear is Useless What is Needed is Trust

I just got back from Brooklyn and as I was driving home I was anxious about a few items. I had the presence of mind to include in my prayers (as I was driving) a parking space. When I was just around the corner from where I live, I spotted a pa...

Love Your Enemies
10/14/2007 - 3:26 AM
"Love your enemies." What did the Lord mean by this I have often found myself asking. The words are very clear. In the Gospel of Mathew chapter 5, verse 44, the Lord said: "But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". ...

Hello there my friend! I hope you are enjoying a beautiful day and that your life is filled with love, peace and joy!
PRAYER WARRIOR
Are you walking in love, dressed and ready for battle? Have you forgiven those who have offended you? Do you love your enemies and your neighbor as yourself? Are you esteeming others more highly than yourself? Are these things that you think about each day in order to incorporate them into your life? If this is true then you are well equipped to pray.
What do you expect when you go to prayer? Do you have the same faith and confidence that Christ had when He prayed? You can. God expects us to. Our Father wants the same communion with you and me that He had with Jesus. Do you understand that the blazing fire of Holy Spirit power to overcome evil God opposing powers is ignited when you pray? Romans 8:26, 27 Jude 20. Your power in prayer is based not on how you feel but on the word of God. Prayer is not merely giving God a list of your needs and desires only. It's a relationship and a way of life. In communion and love with the Father much is accomplished for His kingdom and your life is enhanced with the manifestation of all of His promises. Jesus prayed that the Father would make us one with the Father in the same way that He is one with Him. (See John 17:21-22) This should be our very highest priority in life and in prayer. If this is the state of our being then we can ask what we will as Jesus did and it will be done for us just as readily as it was for Jesus.
I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Mark 11:24. (You will have them if your heart is one with His, God's promises are conditional on this all important stipulation.) Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 15:14-15.
A beautiful Sunday to you. May your prayer life be filled with excitement and anticipation at the certainty of God's promises? May you never be shaken from your faith in Him to perform all that is contained in His word in your life.
