Hello, my name is Lydia Dervartanian. God has granted to me a gift of voice and my sole prayer has always been to use the gifts He has given for His glory. For many years people have encouraged me to record music. But, it was never the right time and finances were a challenge. My response to those who would inquire was "When God opens the doors I'll record in His time." Well, in 2005 God indcredibly opened the doors, provided the financing unsolicited by us, and orchestrated the right people to come together. With the guidance of producer John Andrew Schreiner, the CD recording of Songs of Restoration was completed.
I am married to a wonderful integrous man (Tom Dervartanian) and God has blessed us with four children; currently ages 11, 10, 8 and 5. We are members at Lake Hills Community Church in Laguna Hills where I had the privilege of having members of the choir do backup vocals for the CD. I work part time at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach as an oncolgy nurse. I am also a member of the palliative care team at Hoag. I gift my CD's to my patients when appropriate in order for them to be ministered to through song. Songs of Restoration is lyric driven and most of the songs are scripture based. I have also had the privilege of having my music sent to the persecuted church via solar powered players. This endeavor is being accomplished through M4PC (Music for the Persecuted Church).
We all need restoration! My desire is for people to be drawn closer to God and know that only through God can we truley be restored. My prayer is that the lyrics and music penetrate the hearts and minds of those who hear them, restoring their souls through God's Word.
