About Lisa J Lickel
I live and write in beautiful southern Wisconsin. I write most days, try to keep up with the markets, read a lot, cook supper and take out the garbage, teach Sunday School and ladies Bible groups. I've been a secretary, mean lunch lady, school lunch cook, aid, nanny, telephone surveyor, dealer trade car driver, receptionist, data entry clerk, graphic artist, and I'm probably forgetting some, besides wife and mom. Andy, our oldest, serves on staff for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and started seminary this fall. He's married to the lovely Joanna. Kyle, the youngest, teaches high school English and is engaged to the lovely Kandace. Love is grand.

Your friendship is like a beautiful rose that is blooming in my heart with pedals so fragrant that the slightest breeze of Holy Spirit's motion causes me to remember the loveliness of our kinship and the comradeship of our divine mission.

Always forgive the heart that hurts you and try never to hurt the heart that loves you! In doing so our Father will be glorified, your burdens will be light, because you will have taken on the yoke of the Master. And He has taken your burdens upon Himself and released you from the impediment of trying to do alone what can only be accomplished in Him by Him.

May your days be golden, your burdens be light and your light be Jesus!

Love, blessings and prayers!
Sylvia

Wishing you a blessed and prosperous New Year!

May you always: Hear the voice of your Redeemer in the morning! Sense His encouragement at noonday. Experience the flaming shield of His protection in times of danger. Recognize the rollicking arrival of His assistance when trouble is knocking on your door. Recall the blessing of His stripes when sickness tries to steal away your health. Trustingly reach for his hand when loneliness attempts to deceive you in to believing no one cares.

May His peace enfold you, His love inspire you, His Spirit empower you, His presence lead you, His glory cover you, as He delightfully makes His way straight before your face.

May faithfulness fill your mouth at all times, a passion for God's righteousness burn in your heart, His divine presence be discernable 24/7, your life choices a praise unto His name, and your worship of Him be forever in spirit and in truth.

Love you much!

Hope your Christmas sparkles with joy and the air about you is filled with the radiance of the Lord!

Are you dressed, with your lamp brightly burning, eager and ready to meet your Bridegroom? Do you hunger and thirst after righteousness. If so you will surely be filled. See Matthew 5:6.

Our Bridegroom was not only born into this world. He died, went to the grave, arose, ascended back into heaven, and left us in charge of His Kingdom business on earth.
As the Bride of Christ our heart is to overflow with a good theme, a topic, subject or focus of godly origin and praise. We are to CONTINUALLY recite what we compose in our hearts concerning our King and Bridegroom, until our tongue becomes the pen of a ready writer of love songs to the Messiah. See Psalm 45:1. One must divorce (forsake) break their unity (marriage bargain) with the master of the world system and its decadent desires, in order to become part of the Bride of Christ. Who shall receive a hundredfold return on all they give up for the kingdom of God and its King; NOW IN THIS TIME-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and land, with PURSECUTIONS----And in the age to come eternal life. The blessings of our Father, which you receive through Jesus Christ, will far out weigh the material losses and precautions you lay yourself open to as you faithfully go about the business of His kingdom. Living, loving, and doing the things He commands of you. See Psalm Mark 10:29-30; Philippians 3:7-8. We are to concentrate on our purpose for being here. We are to focus on being about the business of the Father. Of knowing Him and allowing Him to demonstrate through us the works He manifested through Christ, our Bridegroom. Christ Bride without spot or wrinkle, instruments of His love, mercy, power, and provisions unto the day of His return is our calling. 1 Peter 1:19; 2 Peter 3:14; Ephesians 5:27.

May the light of God's love surround you on this day of feasting and celebrating the glory of His coming and taking on the form of a man that we might in turn take on the likeness of our Lord!

Just dropping by to say HELLO and wish MAJESTIC YOU a healthy, happy and prosperous week, abundantly overflowing with the manifestation of God's promises.
You are a regal heir of the Most High God and the keys to His kingdom and all of its riches are in your hands. Faith is the substance that turns those keys and opens the locks to the storehouses of His possessions. Doubt nothing that He has promised to you! Settle down and make yourself at home under the shadow of His protecting and loving wings. There you will find assistance and relief from the daily grind of temptation and trouble. The economy cannot defeat you, the unwise decisions of men cannot knock you off course, or rip from you all that God has already granted to you! Faith is the substance of success in every aspect of your life. Copyright © Sylvia F. Liani 2008

May your day be filled with delightful adventure into the depths of the Father's grace. And may the decadence of the enemy's intentions be far from you.

Sylvia xoxoxo :-)

As I mentioned yesterday, blogging takes too much time away from my writing, and I'll admit to being a workaholic. I feel guilty if I'm not working. :( This is not going to be a good work week either. I have too many commitments away from home.
However, I think blogging has its purposes, and perhaps your son is right. I've seen lots of fads come and go.

Dear Lisa,

Nice to hear from you this morning. I've been a member of Shoutlife since mid-September, but I'm not a blog/online/whatever person, and I'd rather be writing than chatting back and forth. :) Therefore, I'm slow to accumulate friends. I appreciated your message and wish you the best of luck in your writing career. God bless you today.
