About LifeLight.org

FOUNDERS MESSAGE
Many times God gives us a vision or a calling and may not reveal the entire plan or how it will unfold. He just wants us to be obedient. If we will take the first step, He is faithful. LifeLight is a story of a faith journey and how God is always faithful. As Ephesians 3:20 says "He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or imagine."

Our vision and call from the Lord for LifeLight is "Taking the Church outside the walls, bringing Light into the darkness with the life changing message of Jesus Christ" to reach the community and beyond; and to bring the body of Christ together across denominational, generational, and cultural barriers to reach out with that life changing message of how we can know God in a real and personal way.

The ministry exists as an extension of the Church and as a way to fulfill Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth."

What is the Church and what is the call of the church? Jesus refers to us as the body of Christ.
When Jesus said, "I will build my Church" He was saying, I will call my people together out of the world and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against them. Every believer makes up the church.

The whole ministry of LifeLight started because of a burden for the 70+% of people who are not attending church in the United States.
God is using every area of ministry; the Festival, Tours & Concerts, Student Ministries, Missions, Radio, and Outreach Events to reach out to people and connect them with the body of Christ. Our goal going forward is to reach one million people with the gospel. In light of the current culture this is why we exist as a ministry. As an extension of the Church to proclaim the gospel... "taking the Church outside the walls." Reaching a culture, raising them to spiritual maturity and sending to engage the culture and share Christ.

HISTORY

Alan and Vicki Greene are the Founders of LifeLight Communications, a 501c3 non-profit ministry. They have a diverse background of both ministry and business experience. In 2001 God made it clear that pursuing full time ministry was the call upon their hearts. The ministry includes the Festival, Tours & Concerts, Student Ministries, Missions, Radio and Outreach Events. In addition to a team of people who are called to the ministry, a huge group of volunteers serve in the ministry. What started out as a festival on a church lawn has now grown into an international ministry involving many who have a heart to reach people with the gospel. LifeLight's home base is in Sioux Falls S.D. In John 8:12 Jesus said,"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but have the Light of Life." From this verse the LifeLight ministry was born.
OUR MISSION Since 1998 LifeLight Communications has worked to unite churches and ministries together in moving forward with the call that God has given us, and that call is stronger than ever. There are three parts of our calling:

REACHING- "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere" Mark 16:15. Whether it's at a festival, concert, on a middle or high school campus, or overseas on a mission trip, sharing the life changing power of Jesus is at the front of everything we do. Our goal in the years ahead is to expose one million people with a clear presentation of this great news.

RAISING- "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19. Partnering with churches and other ministries, we help disciple teenagers and adults in knowing and living God's word in their daily life. This involves developing student leaders on campus, raising youth pastors, preparing counselors at events, equipping those going on mission trips, and following up on new believers.

SENDING- "But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8. We send people into their world (school, neighborhood, work place), and into the world (Midwest, North America and overseas) to reach people for Christ.

OUR MINISTRY
FESTIVAL: The LifeLight Festival began on a church lawn for one night in 1998 and has become one of the nation's largest music festivals in the country. 320,000 people came to the 2008 festival over three days.

STUDENT MINISTRIES: SOULED OUT student clubs expose Jesus Christ in the greatest evangelism field today: the middle and high school campuses in our country. Networking and training youth leaders in cities throughout the Midwest is a key part of our strategy to reach every teen on every campus in every community.

TOURS/CONCERTS: Taking the great news of Jesus Christ to almost 25 cities throughout the Midwest is part of our mission. These concerts use some of the best musical talent there is to share this news to those communities in the region.

MISSIONS: We are passionate about sharing Christ and serving the poor, needy, and transforming impoverished communities. Through local missions as well as mission trips to Mexico, Haiti, Ethiopia and beyond we bring light into these dark areas.

RADIO: Through our website the gospel can go around the world with LifeLight radio. This ministry is a half-hour show on secular radio. Each week we take a topic and address it from a Biblical perspective. Listen online .

Hi Folks,

It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.

It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.

Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.

Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.

Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.

Thanks,

Jim
