If I could take all the sadness in our teen generation and give them one chance at happiness and freedom, I'd do it instantly. With all my heart, I write and speak to the heart of today's issues. Be it self-injury, depression, or modesty, I deal with the issue's soul.
Experience is the best teacher, I've been told, and if that's true, then I should be brilliant (only I'm not yet!) =] My journey through depression, anger, bitterness, loneliness, abuse and self-injury have led me to places I wish other teens wouldn't have to visit. The years have not been easy, but through the struggles, pain, and fear of adolescence, I continue to emerge from the fire, more in love with God each second. It's all about mercy!
Besides attending college, I mentor teens, work in high school ministry, write for teen magazines, and speak to young audiences. Through the written and spoken word my goal is to inspire, encourage and restore hope to the brokenhearted by pointing them to the ultimate Healer.

Fall 2007
"It's not fair, God!"
I was once again complaining to God.
"Why did You put the dream to be a youth leader on my heart all year, lead me to believe it would happen, and then rip it away from me in the form of 'a new rule for the be...

One of my favorite quotes momentarily is "every shadow is evidence of sun". I'm pretty sure it's from a song, but I can't recall which one at the moment.
Personal events have recently driven me to the feet of my Savior, calling for wisdom and str...

You carry me
when I've lost
all my strength

You prove to me
You are my soul's

Glad tidings and warm thoughts Fellow Authors,
We've decided to brave the cold. January 15 through 19, 2010 the Author Collective will shake hands with and share a cup of warm cider with 9,000 plus librarians of the northeast United States and elsewhere. The American Library Association Mid-Winter will be held in Boston, Massachusetts and what better way to showcase your book?
Past conventions have indicated that two specific genres are now in big demand, "Children" and "Urban" titles. As such we are planning to include a separate section in our booth dedicated to Urban Fiction and Non-Fiction plus books that instruct and educate children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are now looking for authors who have such topics. If your writings fit these categories you should join the Author Collective TODAY!
Our goal is to help the self-published and un-known,under-known and soon to be well known author, get their craft in front of the people who make decisions to buy books in quantity. Sign up for the Author Collective today and get an extra month of membership FREE. That's right, join any time in December 2009 and your membership will not expire until January 1, 2011.
Don't let this opportunity pass you bye. Call me TODAY!
