General Interests
I love horses more than anything. I used to do dressage and eventing, was really into it, so hope to one day get another horse. I'd like to try out the andalusian breed someday (http://www.ialha.org/new/default.php). They're gorgeous, the "Horse of Kings," and are the horses used in bullfighting. They're beautiful for dressage and are gaining exceptance in the international arena, which is cool.
Music
I love alternative Christian music. I don't listen to secular music that much now but LOVED U2 and still think Steve Perry has the most beautiful voice ever....
Books
Fav. books:

--Holy Bible

--"Blessed Child" by Ted Dekker and Bill Bright (the most inspired book I've ever read besides the Bible. Oh, to have a faith like the boy in that story....

--ANYTHING by my hubby :-) (http://www.kevinscottcollier.com)
Movies/TV
Top two grown-up movies:

"The Passion of the Christ"
"The Count of Monte Cristo"

Top two kid's movies:

"The Chronicles of Narnia"
"TMNT"

Don't laugh, ha ha--but I just saw the new Ninja Turtle movie last weekend and it really was one of the best movies I've ever seen....

About Kristen Collier

Christian Wife, Mother, Author and Videographer

Hi! I am an author and columnist, married to author/illustrator Kevin Scott Collier. We are represented by the Hartline Literary Agency, who is shopping 7 or 8 of our YA books. Just released, my first children's picture book, "Joy the Jellyfish," published by Dragonfly Publishing.

Just Released - "Joy the Jellyfish"

"I loved the book after the first reading. It's more than a nice story of friendship. It's a feel good kind of book for character education, self esteem and self confidence. I can see teachers using the book in their classrooms as it covers the Six Traits of Writing perfect to show examples of word choice, voice, and ideas. Those word choices can be used for introducing vocabulary science words, as part of the Words Their Way program for sorting and word choice. Teachers are always looking for fiction titles to go with curriculum - Joy fits the bill for ocean biomes and introducing ocean animals. I can't wait to see more in this series of Joy the Jellyfish."
- Ellen Gedeon, Instructor, Grand Haven Area Public Schools

Happy New Year!

We all make New Year resolutions. But generally, within a few weeks they have all become casualties of our busy schedules, inconsistency or just plain 'ol lack of will power. So in light of this a most common pitfall, we thought we would ask our FB friends to ponder and answer the following question...

What is the smallest change with the greatest impact you can now make to bring you closer to a personal goal or just simply much needed change at home, at work or in life?
