The King Cat Music logo represents the Lion of Judah as stated in Gen 29:35 and relates to the Hebrew translation of Judah meaning praise. With praise being one of the foundations of Christianity we chose to provide services to those that praise the lord through music.
King Cat Music is dedicated to the promotion of the artist through several methods. By fostering a community of Artists, Churches, Businesses and Venues we create and environment that spreads the Gospel through music. By utilizing relationships in the Christian community we encourage, educate and recognize artists via the King Cat website, events and programs culminating in an annual award show.
As a member, the website provides information and services for artists, organizations, venues, churches and businesses. Visitors to the site can access music, concert listings, information on businesses, churches and events while having a lot of fun.
Artists benefit from programs such as songwriter workshops and performances, music reviews and technical critiques and KCCM University dedicated to the refinement of the artist's craft. Events are offered through the website by member businesses, churches and venues as well as King Cat sponsored events such as the annual award show held in April.
The award show is designed to reflect the passion of the Christian community and the praise of Jesus Christ through music complete with performances, artist recognition and information provided by businesses and churches. Artists are evaluated and awarded in several categories and the song of the year, King Cat Music's top honor, is awarded based on monthly submissions reviewed by listeners and a representation of industry professionals.
Every year all the members gather at the Awards Show and enjoy workshops, show, and usually a networking party before or after.

Well, this is the season for nominations. Our KCCM staff enjoys getting to know new artists and going deeper into relationship with the members that have been around for a while. This is a great organization and the Awards has been thrilling.

Fridays are so wonderful. Was out in Olathe today putting posters all over town for the upcoming event on April 26th. It's a beautiful day out too. I am hoping that it decides it wants to be spring now.
