Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, educated in the Public School system, completed the required curriculum one year early, he stayed to continue his academic development and graduated with a 3.89 average from Parkway Community Beta High School.
He continued his academic pursuit at Cheyney University of PA, where he also was an over achiever, graduating with 162 credit-points, 42 over that of which was required, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts and Humanities, with a strong background in Photography, Graphic Arts, Music Production and Marketing. He has written, produced and recorded works with.for Umar Bin Hassin of The Last Poets, The One Sun Lion Ra, Redi Williams, Herb Gray, Amun Mirazz, Taalam Acey, Shyster and other noted and respected poets and emcees.
He is an active instructor at Temple University's Pan-African Studies Community Education Program (PASCEP) where he teaches poetry, and receives praise from his students and fellow instructors for his commitment, and is available for performances, lectures and workshops.
Along with Redi Williams, his passion for teaching poetry includes his dedication to their Poetry and Creative Writing Advocacy Program (PACWAP) - where they "move" locally and around the country to teach poetry to the youth of the nation in various academic and social environments and settings.
