Forever Grateful (2008)
Life has been a struggle for Kim and her two teenaged daughters since the divorce four years ago. It's not easy being a single parent. She has to keep going, no matter how alone or lost she feels. She is strong. She is in control. She can make it. She has to for her girls.

So she believes until a cold, rainy afternoon in February when she receives a phone call that changes her world forever. As she rushes panic-stricken to her critically injured daughter, Kelly, she cries out to a God in whom she has never truly believed, begging Him to help them. If there is a God up there somewhere, this is the time she desperately needs him to reveal himself.

Youth Pastor Ben Johnson also receives a call and immediately enlists an army to pray for Kelly. As he makes daily visits to the hospital to check on Kelly, he is haunted by memories of terrifying days spent with his young daughter in Intensive Care after the car wreck that killed his wife. Yet he returns to the hospital day after day and Kim is touched by his steadfast devotion and unmovable faith in God. She begins to sense the Lord working in her family. As she takes steps to trust Him, life takes some unexpected twists and turns, and she finds herself forever grateful for His intervention and love.

About Kathie C. Moore
I am a very happy wife, the mother of two beautiful grown daughters, and the grandmother of a precious little boy named Elijah. I was a single mom for 14 years and learned to depend on the Lord to be my "ever present help" during those years. God blessed me with my wonderful husband, Jeff, in 2002, and we now live on a ranch in East Texas with 4 dogs and 6 horses, where we are building a retreat for families with children who have autism. The retreat is called Elijah's Retreat (a Christ-centered, non-profit corporation) in honor of our grandson who has autism.

My first book, "Forever Grateful", was just released in February of 2008. It is a heart-warming story about a single mother who finds the Lord and a new love through a tragedy in her life. I am forever grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ for his amazing love and care in my life.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen!" Ephesians 3:20-21

Wishing you a blessed and prosperous New Year!

May you always: Hear the voice of your Redeemer in the morning! Sense His encouragement at noonday. Experience the flaming shield of His protection in times of danger. Recognize the rollicking arrival of His assistance when trouble is knocking on your door. Recall the blessing of His stripes when sickness tries to steal away your health. Trustingly reach for his hand when loneliness attempts to deceive you in to believing no one cares.

May His peace enfold you, His love inspire you, His Spirit empower you, His presence lead you, His glory cover you, as He delightfully makes His way straight before your face.

May faithfulness fill your mouth at all times, a passion for God's righteousness burn in your heart, His divine presence be discernable 24/7, your life choices a praise unto His name, and your worship of Him be forever in spirit and in truth.

Love you much!

1 Chronicles 16:8-34

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Luke 2:10-11 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Psalm 145

I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

AMEN!

A very, very merry Christmas to you beloved of the Lord! Take time to join the angels in singing peace on earth good will to men! Today that baby that was born so long ago reigns at the right hand of the Father making the impossible possible for you. Rejoice He came to save you and accomplished that task perfectly. Now you (who are in Him) are free to be as He is in this world, qualified and destined for glory.

The Lord is the strength of your rescue and escape from all that holds you bound to the limitations of this world's way of doing things. He is the power that brings to fulfillment in your life the promised benefits of your salvation. He is your life source. Your burden bearer and He delivers on His every promised. He covers your head in the day of battle. He is a shield about you, your glory and the lifter of your head. It is He who maintains your cause when you are afflicted. And He brings justice to the poor, lonely, brokenhearted, and forgotten. He is the one who grants you the advantages of heaven while you remain on the earth. Evil eventual self-destructs, because it has no place to go except deeper into the mangled world it produces. Among all the political restructuring and reshuffling we are experiencing today, the Lord still reigns in righteousness reliability.

The poison of serpents is on the lips of your enemies. As in the days of Adam and Eve, so it is today. Their purpose is to make you stumble. They hide snares for you; and stretch out cords of evil by which they hope to entangle and defeat you. But look up; give ear to the voice of your redeemer, your deliverance is at hand. The upright dwells in the presence of the Almighty here and now. He has not forgotten you! Take refuge in Him, He will not leave you begging bread, nor your soul destitute of peace, love and comfort. He will keep you from the snares that have been laid for you. And from the traps that have been set to discourage you. Hear His words they are sweet to you. They are life in abundance and health to ALL your flesh. See Proverbs 4:22. Let the evil fall by their own carefully placed nets of corruption, while you escape safely. See Psalm 140.

Man did not get in this MESS the world is experiencing all by himself. Neither can he get out by himself. But the One who can get him out is greater than the one who coached him to get into it. Believe Him! He laid aside His royal robes and took on the weakness of flesh in the form of a child, which grew up and taught you how to know Him. He exchanged streets of gold for roads of dirt infiltrated by the tarnished rewards of evil. He presented Himself as a willing sacrifice to pay for your acts of evil rebellion against Him. And by doing so He enabled you to become a new creation in Him. In the image of Himself, He recreated you, as in the beginning, making it possible for you to follow Him to the cross and take up the life that you were destined for from the foundation of the world. He is the reason for the season and your stability and abundance of life at all times. Copyright © Sylvia F.Liani

Guard your heart and your mind. For out of the heart the mouth speaks either victory or defeat. Submit to God's sayings; keep them in the depth of your heart for they are life to you and healing and health to all of your flesh. See Proverbs 4:20-24.

Have a happy, healthy and joy filled week!
Colossal hugs and tons of blessing

Psalm 8 (The Message)

1 God, brilliant Lord, yours is a household name.
2 Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you;
toddlers shout the songs
That drown out enemy talk,
and silence atheist babble.
3-4 I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
Why do you bother with us?
Why take a second look our way?
5-8 Yet we've so narrowly missed being gods,
bright with Eden's dawn light.
You put us in charge of your handcrafted world,
repeated to us your Genesis-charge,
Made us lords of sheep and cattle,
even animals out in the wild,
Birds flying and fish swimming,
whales singing in the ocean deeps.
9 God, brilliant Lord,
your name echoes around the world.

Hi there precious sweet smiling Kathie! You are so welcome and a great blessing to me.

The lion of winter can roaring by my place last night leaving a blanket of snow and the artic chill of his frosty breath filling the air! And patches of ice to remind me of the times I have fallen. When I skated on the deception of what appeared a safe and beautiful way to enjoy that which beaconed me to step on ice so thin that I was sure to fall and reap painful consequences as a result. However, I am fearless and cozy warm in the arms of my Lord, because now I know that even if I slip and fall on the cold slipper slops the enemy has placed in my path I can never fall below the reach of His loving arms!

Wishing you a beautiful day my sweet friend!!!!

Letter from Dutch Sheets, a minister of 29 years ... important read ...

October 20, 2008

Dear Praying Friend,

In 2000, I wrote the 2nd most important letter of my life - - a call to prayer for the elections of that year. I'm now writing what may be my most important letter. I knew the importance of those elections in 2000 was beyond any in my life up to that point and that the spiritual warfare surrounding them would be unlike anything any of us had ever seen. That letter was read by millions of people and I believe millions of them responded by praying. I also believe the prayers turned the tide.

You may question whether President Bush was the right choice; obviously, he has made some blunders in his tenure as president. But two of his decisions alone left no doubt he was God's choice: Roberts and Alito.

These two Supreme Court Justices have proven critical in the process of breaking the hold of humanism, death and anti-God agendas that have ruled the Court for 50 years. I assure you that more devastation - - the shedding of innocent blood, immorality, decay of the family and an erosion of our godly heritage - - has flowed into our nation through that institution than any other door in America. Many times more. The poison allowed into America through their decisions is beyond any of our abilities to articulate. The reality in America is that you don't need to control Congress or the White Hose to rule the nation. You only need 5 people - - 5 out of 9 on the Supreme Court. And for decades those who disagree with just about everything you and I stand for have been in control!

In Bush's two terms, the process of turning this around began with the appointments of Roberts and Alito. Now, we win some cases 5-4 and lose some 4-5. (We barely outlawed partial birth abortion. The vote of one judge saved thousands of babies from this horror.) We need one more conservative Justice for a consistent majority, then more to build a strong majority.

In Obama's own words, "the next president will appoint at least one, perhaps two or more Supreme Court Justices." He's right. Almost certainly two or more older, liberal Justices are waiting until after the elections to retire, in hopes of Obama winning and appointing more liberals to replace them. And he certainly would. He voted against the confirmation of Roberts and Alito. So did Biden. And Biden led the fight against Justice Thomas several years back, another of the 4 solid conservatives. Make no mistake about it, the two of them do have a litmus test for Supreme Court Justices, and a major part of that test is Roe vs. Wade. McCain and Palin, on the other hand, both have very strong pro-life positions. This alone makes the choice for President simple. To vote for the 2nd and 3rd most liberal senators (Obama and Biden), both of whom are firmly and blatantly pro-abortion, would be unconscionable.

Obama has actually said that if he wins, he would like his first action as president to be the signing of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate every other law against any aspect of abortion (partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., etc.). And with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, pretty much any legislation he and Biden want to pass will be a slam-dunk. There are many other unrighteous positions they hold but this position alone makes the choice easy. If they win this election, it will set America back decades in the cause of life and the restoration we seek.

Just as many of you do, I too, want to see a first black President, but not Senator Obama. To allow that noble and godly desire, the economy or one's position on the war to trump this issue of life and death for the innocent unborn is simply wrong. The scriptures teach that if we choose first to exalt righteousness and turn from evil, God promises to heal our land (see Proverbs 14:34; 2 Chronicles 7:14). It is righteousness that exalts a nation, not wealth, prosperity or armies. If we will finish the process of removing the curses of death and anti-God laws off of America by electing a president that will continue to shift the Court, God will grace us with breakthrough in other areas such as the economy, the war against terrorism, etc. My faith is not in a person, and certainly not a political party, for the healing of America, but I know God's word and His ways well enough to know that our decisions do move Him to action or inaction. Now to the heart of my reason for writing this letter (I realize I am "preaching to the choir"?most of you who know or listen to me are conservative enough to vote for McCain and Palin.)

I have not written any appeals for prayer concerning this election because:
1) others have, and
2) I believe our movement has matured to the point that the prayer base of the Church is already praying.

But I now feel the need to raise my voice. I am appealing to you to pray for these elections the next two weeks like you've never prayed for any in the past. Faithfully. Passionately. Boldly. Ask God for His mercy and grace. We deserve His judgment for removing His influence and authority from our government, schools, homes and businesses; for the killing of 50 million babies; for leading the world in the consumption and exporting of pornography; for passing laws to reject His; etc. But mercy triumphs over judgment and in His wrath He remembers mercy. In 2000 we actually lost the popular vote and won the election?talk about grace! Please pray for this grace to be released again.

But I am also asking you for something more than normal prayer. For those of you who understand spiritual warfare, I am asking you to also include this aspect of prayer. There is no doubt that we have entered a Daniel 10 moment in time: "Then he said to me, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, I have come in response to your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia'" (Daniel 10: 12-13 NAS). The spiritual warfare in this election is incredibly fierce, and just as it was in Daniel's day, is all about the restoration of a nation. And also like Daniel, we must keep praying until we win the battle in the heavens.

In August of this year I predicted that September would mark a shift in momentum for these elections. This happened with the appointment of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential nominee (who is a true Esther in our generation), but when the economy began its meltdown and the media ramped up their unprecedented attacks on Palin, that momentum wasn't sustained. But we can see it turn again if we approach this battle as the spiritual warfare it truly is and bind the evil forces involved (see Matthew 16:18-19). The reality is that this election can be the breakthrough we need to fully shift the Court (and ultimately our nation) or it will be an immeasurable setback that could take many years to reverse?if ever. Please understand what I am saying: if we engage in this battle and do what I am asking?in mass?we will win; if we do not, we will lose. I, for one, don't intend to allow the latter. I am in Washington, D.C. now (October 20-22) with Lou Engle and a team of prayer leaders from around the nation to war for this election. Join us! Lose some sleep, miss some meals - - pray! Pray like never before for these elections. And as you do, involve yourself not only in petitioning prayer but also in spiritual warfare. Use your God-given authority over the plans and strategies of Satan's kingdom. Bind all witchcraft that is working to control the outcome, including occult powers that are suppressing truth. Release Christ's Kingdom rule in every way the Holy Spirit leads you.

Don't be deceived and don't lose hope (if you have to, turn off the TV.) It is not too late to turn these elections. God is plenty powerful enough to do so. The real question is will we rise to the level of prayer and spiritual warfare necessary to release that power. And remember, we don't need a majority of Christians who are willing and able to do this - - only a praying remnant. We can do it!

Here are some practical suggestions to consider:

1) Fast (a meal a day; a day a week; a Daniel fast; 3 days; 10 days; TV; etc.) and spend the time praying.
2) Agree in prayer with someone everyday for God's will to be done.
3) Form/participate in prayer groups regularly. Churches could pray everyday.
4) Take time in every gathering to pray. (Take 15 minutes in every service to pray for the elections. Turn an entire service to harp and bowl style intercession - - worship and prayer combined.)
5) Join 2 or more on a conference call and pray for 15, 20, or 30 minutes.
6) Pray on the way to work (and on the way home).
7) Pray before you go to sleep.
8) Pray before church services.
9) Ask God to give you His strategy - - He will!

In His grip,

Dutch Sheets

The photos were at a farm near Greenville, SC. We stayed with friends there on the way back to Florida. The kids had a blast, except for me asking my sweet girl to smile in the pumpkin patch.
