My parents who always instilled in us a love for singing and music.
My Savior who came into my life and allowed me to be a part of His music.
Ronnie Hinson who took time to try to teach me how to turn a good song into a great song.
Sue Smith who took time to hold a songwriters conference to help people like me leave better then when they came.
All the clinicians at Write About Jesus who take time out of their very busy schedules each year to teach us how to become better writers.
I began writing songs when I was just 16 years old...since then writing has become as much a part of me as breathing! I really began to take my writing seriously about 20 years ago but with small children it was hard to do the things I needed to do to get my music out there...For the past five years since my children have grown I have been getting involved in songwriting classes, seminars and competitions. In Oct. of 2006 "You Sweep Me Off My Feet", a song that was co-written with my friend, Helga, won first place at the Write About Jesus Workshop! Since that time doors of opportunity have been opening and I have been blessed to write with some of the best in the business! You Sweep Me Off My Feet has been recorded by an artist in Holland. Helga decided to enter that song in the Unisong Competition. With over 500 entries we placed in the top 24. Since then I have experienced the joy of having other songs published and recorded this year. I am very excited over what God is doing in my life and I look forward to each new day!

Last week was our Jr. Youth Camp up near Pennsylvania! I have great news...I Survived! :o)
It seems that each year I think..."This is the best group of kids yet"! It gives me great hope for our future...to know that there is a group of kids out...

Happy Easter Everyone!
I have always loved the Easter holiday...before knowing Jesus it was because of the Easter Egg hunts and the family dinners etc...but since I've met Jesus it has so much more meaning!
