KANGUS

Coming straight from the San Fransisco music scene, singer/songwriter, Kevin Angus moved to Ventura, Ca in 2002 and joined up with drummer Victor Haverly at the First Baptist Church of Camarillo.
Later, Angus and Haverly were blessed with bass player Chris Kirkegarrd, who conveniently lived two doors up from Haverly. Thus KANGUS was formed.

The The sound of KANGUS reflects it's influences of Peter Gabriel, U2, The Police, Van Morrison, and Jeff Buckley. When you hear them you experience a fresh sound with a slight country feel and overlying progressive style of rock.

The songs themselves contain a common thread of Kevin's experiences living the Christian faith, interspersed with an occasional love song or two, crafted deep within the heart and soul.

When asked about the band's goals for the future, KANGUS desires to reach as many audiences as possible bringing the message in their music.

Currently, they are working on their first CD entitled "Coming To Christ", and can be seen in the local Ventura area with plans to reach out into the neighboring communities soon.
