About Jon Scott music

If red is the color of passion, then Jon Scott's hair perfectly reflects his soul and his purpose in life. Using his well-known vocal talent and conversational style of teaching, Jon seeks to give hope to the hurting and encouragement to everyone. He is a compassionate man, who merely wants the world to know of the passionate God that wants a true relationship with humankind.
Jon is quite fond of the traveling ministry. He loves the chance to meet and share with new people and to experience different styles of worship. His biggest goal with each place he comes to is to uplift the flock and to both uphold and reiterate the vision of the leader put in place there.

To date, Jon has had the opportunity to share his talents and message in churches, concert halls, hospitals, youth centers, and prisons in various cities and states, and even overseas in the United Kingdom. He has held many roles in ministry including youth pastor at New Life Worship Center in Byron, Georgia; vocalist, bass guitarist, and sound technician for Southern/Country Gospel group Latter Rain; and Bishop of Lasting Joy Church International in Milledgeville & NOW Life Church of Eatonton, Ga besides his solo career in music.
In addition to the two Latter Rain projects, Travel Plans and Song of the Redeemed, he has also recorded a solo project titled All that Really Matters featuring songs like His Love is Strong, Is Anything too Hard for God?, and I'll be Back. He followed that with a live praise and worship project titled Wake up the House along with worship leader Marcia Henry and the Judah Praise Team of Lasting Joy Church International, Better Plan and has released his most current music project entitled As Requested.
Over the years, Jon has had the honor of sharing the stage with many talented groups and artists. These include groups such as The New Hinsons, Karen Peck and New River, Jeff and Sherri Easter, Brian Free and Assurance, The Statesmen Quartet, Gold City Quartet, Lavern & Edith Tripp, The Isaacs, Charles Johnson & the Revivers, The Steeles, The Perry's, The Crabb Family, The Freemans, and The Martins. Other gifted individuals include Clint Brown, Ronnie Hinson, Chuck Day, Mike Bowling, Charles Billingsley, David Brinson, Jonathan Kilgore, Terry Tripp, Bishop Dennis Leonard and Michael English.
More than anything, of course, Jon has enjoyed his personal relationship with a Father in whom he so faithfully trusts and believes.
