About John Michalak
Partnering With Your Church/Organization:

As a professional singer-songwriter, I am partnering with local and regional churches and organizations in supplementing your current worship offerings with a worship-filled concert at your location.

I've been in church leadership for many years and understand the often overwhelming burden to develop fresh and exciting strategies to meet the diverse needs of your congregation and visitors.

During my quiet, acoustic concert, your audience will enter a time of rest--experiencing uncluttered and thoughtful music, story-telling and spiritual encouragement.

Now, you're probably asking: "How much is this going to cost us??"

Some good news! During this season of ministry, I am NOT asking for any payment or honorarium for my concerts, unless already offered by your organization. I only ask for the opportunity to make a love offering receptacle available for those who would like to contribute to our ministry (I may also request travel reimbursement for great distances).

Suggested concert environments:

1) Your church, a large living room, or community venue;
2) An outdoor picnic or outreach event;
3) A seasonal retreat, conference, or camp.

What Others Are Saying:

"John Michalak's music is full of passion—the kind of passion that will keep a dead flashlight battery burning through a cold winter's night. Meshing obvious natural talent with deeply felt truth is a potent combination—one that has the strong potential to move you; move you to think, to worship, to praise God, and maybe—just maybe—move you to action. Here's one thing I know for sure: You won't be able to listen passively to Michalak's songs. He belts the words out with intensity and authority, as if he really believes that which prompts him to sing. No doubt, he does. His lyrics are thoughtful and intelligent, avoiding cliché like a seasoned poet."--Curt McLey, Phantom Tollbooth Magazine

Background/Mission:

I have been performing for over 13 years as a worship leader, band member, and solo act at many different venues from churches, to coffeehouses, to conferences and camps. I am also in the home stretch of completing a Master's degree in Biblical Studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, which I will use to teach the Scriptures and write inspirational books.

My musical mission is to continue sharing my gifts with a wide and diverse audience, regionally and nationally. I also plan to release a debut CD in the near future, which I believe will be a helpful ministry tool and keepsake for those in need of more continual inspiration in their daily journey with God.

I hate to admit this, but there's a side of me that sometimes enjoys the idea of oncoming disaster. Maybe I'm too detached and numbed by the virtual world of movies and television, where a 10.5 earthquake sends California into the ocean or an ice... (login or sign up to read more)

Have you ever heard of Viktor Frankl? He was an author and psychotherapist who died about 9 years ago at the age of 92. Among his other accomplishments, he wrote a great book called "Man's Search For Meaning". This book begins by showing the way D... (login or sign up to read more)
