Singer / Songwriter, Worship Leader, and Youth Pastor, Jeff Polen has been playing and singing music in front of large crowds for nearly a decade. While in high school, he started a country music band (JP Country) that exploded onto the Northeast Ohio Country Music scene. In the course of seven years, JP Country recorded 4 full-length CD's (42 original songs written by Jeff Polen), toured around the state of Ohio, and played alongside national acts such as Clint Black, Buddy Jewell, Joe Nichols, and Rick Treviño. You could find JP Country on the web, on the front page of newspapers, or on Cable TV. They were nominated for Ohio Country Music Band of the Year in 2003. They were on their way to the top, when everything fell out from underneath.
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am." (Exodus 3: 4)
Jeff's focus had shifted. As his relationship with Jesus grew stronger, he found himself no longer praying that God would bless JP Country, but that God's will would be done in his life. God was faithful. In no time at all, Jeff went from singing on stage in front of thousands of people, with the Jumbo-Tron video cameras plastered on his face, to leading worship in front of a hundred people, and giving the glory to God.
Now at the age of 25, after spending a year with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), and following the mission bell to Turkey, Egypt, and Guatemala, Jeff Polen has been back in the recording studio. This time it is all for the glory of God. His raw passion and honest, thoughtful lyrics are a product of what happens when we pray, "Here I am, Father, may Your will be done in my life "
