About Jean Watson
Little woman...big vision. With a voice descibed by many as "healing" and "angelic", Jean Watson quietly but passionately proclaims the healing love of Jesus Christ. She uses her talents as singer, violinist, songwriter and arranger to create a sound that defies classification. With elements of classical, pop, and folk music, Jean creates her own unique genre. Her message of hope for hurting people is timeless, however. Listen and you'll hear it. This is a little woman that God is using to do big things.

I am crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." That is the testimony of Jean Watson's life and music. In her delicate voice, the powerful love of God is boldly proclaimed. Out of a life broken by sin and divorce has risen a song of hope, healing, and transformation. In the words of her oldest son, "...She has gone to the end of her ability to find the strength of Jesus Christ, and Jean's music is the beautiful sound of Christ in her.

The music of Jean Watson touches her audiences on many levels and often brings a strong emotional response, as though she is bringing a bit of heaven to earth. She never sings without also speaking, however, bringing a message of unflagging hope in the power and love of God to change lives. Through her own brokenness, she has a compassion for the hurting which draws people to her. It is not uncommon for a concert to close with people lining up for prayer, which is the heart of Jean's ministry.

Though a woman of small physical stature, one cannot be around Jean for long without being touched by her huge passion for God and her deep compassion for people. It is this love - this childlike belief that even small things can change the world - that drives Jean. Her purpose is to share faith and hope with as many as possible, using all her gifts to breathe hope to the hurting. It is Jean's heart to give away as much of her proceeds as possible to charities around the world.

The power of Jean's message in no way overshadows the beauty and excellence of her music, however. Trained as a classical musician, Jean shares her heart through music that is truly a genre all its own. Through a love of music that transcends style, her sound is eclectic and unique with strong classical and folk influences. A consummate singer, songwriter, arranger, and violinist, Jean insists on excellence in everything she does. The beauty of her music is matched only by the beauty of the message of God's love that it carries.

In 2006, Jean released a new CD of her original songs and hymn arrangements entitled, "Unveiled". "Unveiled" is Jean's first CD using the talents of Irish producer Joni McCabe and the City of Prague Philharmonic. For the first time, we hear Jean's talent enhanced by some of Europe's finest musicians. The songs, the arrangements, the performances are excellent in their own right. The heart behind the music shines and inspires...even beyond what the ear can hear.
