About II Guys from Petra

A NEW ERA IN THE ONGOING LEGACY OF THE MINISTRY KNOWN AS PETRA

With Petra's retirement at the end of 2005, we are now continuing the band's 33 year legacy as an acoustic duo. Our aim is to fill a need within the church - that of creating a time of exciting yet reverent worship of our Lord through music and up-close-and-personal fellowship within the Body of Christ.

THE II GUYS STORY
At the time of Petra's retirement at the end of 2005, the future was unclear for Bob and John. Both were pursuing other ventures outside of the music business when Bob received an invitation from Canada to lead worship for a youth retreat. Bob immediately thought of teaming with John, much to the delight of the sponsors.

As Bob began arranging popular worship songs for the duo to perform, it became obvious that it wouldn't be much harder to make an album together. After several months of work it was time to christen the new venture. Should they call themselves Bob and John... or Schlitt and Hartman? They elected to call themselves what they suspected people would call them inevitably... "Oh... that's two guys from Petra"!

The II GUYS CONCERT EXPERIENCE
This is acoustic music like you've never experienced before... an incredible mix of Petra classics ranging from "Why Should the Father Bother" to "Creed" to "Jekyll & Hyde" - all on an acoustic guitar! Who needs a band when you have Bob?!!!

You will also hear praise music off of the new album "Vertical Expressions," stories from the past 33 years, plus Bob and John's testimonies - and when John gets on a roll - watch out, because he's a preacher in disguise!

And don't forget the comedy! Yes, II Guys from Petra are entertaining as well... not only entertaining, but downright hilarious! Be prepared to witness a different side of Bob that few have ever seen before - he's quick on the draw and a master of the one-liners with his deadpan delivery. And it's usually John who unknowingly walks right into the proverbial trap!

But don't worry - John won't take a hit without delivering a few well-aimed shots at good 'ol Bob! Once the two get rolling... look out! (the next time you see the guys walking down the street, ask Bob about John's perspiration & personal hygiene after a concert, or check in with John on what Bob is like when he's on a coffee buzz!)

II GUYS FROM PETRA IN CONCERT = A NIGHT OF LAUGHTER, MUSIC & MINISTRY AT IT'S FINEST!

"I couldn't be happier!" .... "What a blessing!" ... "Our church had a great experience" .... "John and Bob were such humble servants of the Lord. If you can have them to your church for a concert - for worship - for a revival -- don't hesitate!"

Hi Guys,

I have a new artist on my page, but he is an established musician who has sung and led worship all over the world. Roy Kendall is the staff worship leader for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ). He has taken some of the favorite worship songs of the contemporary age, and given them a new setting. These beautiful songs have been professionally recorded and orchestrated for a high quality listening experience. All of Roy's family has an anointing for various elements of worship, including singing, dance, and drama.

Shout Life's mp3 player is still a little funky, so the song by Roy is at the bottom of the play list, but the stuff on the top is really great too. So come by and take a listen.

Thanks,

Jim
