About Me
Hi... Well, Where do I begin.
I am 46 and a grandma to a beautiful little boy 1yr. 18 months old (Trey Nicholas) and a grandaughter 7 yrs. old. ( Grace ) I have 2 Children of my own and 1 step son. Michael 27, Sarah 25, and my step son George 35.
I have been a widow now for 10 yrs. What a journey this has been.
Since the death of my husband my eyes have been open to so many things. The lord has used so many beautiful people to introduce himself back into my life.(I Pushed him away, out of anger for a time after my husband passed).
One person in particular was used by the Lord (and still is to this day) to teach and guid me through some rough times. This friend has opened my world up again to the love of music.
I use to write and play guitar, but I put that aside yrs. ago, not thinking that I would ever really have it in me to pick it up again...Until this special friend sparked that love again. I am now playing and writing again. And with his help I continue to improve.(At least he tells me I am ).I have writen a number of songs and recorded two. They are vary amature but one did save a life.
This woman that I didn't even know was about to commit suicide,Prior to that my mother had given her the CD to listen to,(my mom had no idea that this woman was thinking suicide.)After she had listened to it she gave a crinkled note to my mom along with the CD and told her "Thank You,You have no Idea what this song did for me" It saved her life. The name of that song is 'SWEET JESUS'. The other one is 'The Window'It speaks of the Lord in his many names that he is known by.It is about perspective and comming together with a common respect and love for each other and with that the Lord can break through any walls that are present.I was inspired to write this song by the many people I have been blessed to meet in my mission work around the world. When I get a chance I will down load both songs.Like I said.. It's the first time I ever recorded any of my songs and my vocals aren't the greatest but God uses them for his Glory. and that's what counts.
I was also introduced to mission work and I love it. I have been to Haiti twice and hoping to get back.I helped rebuild homes in Mississippi after the hurricane. I am hoping to get to Kenya, I am involved in fund raising for some dear friends that are now living in Kenya and running a program that is called the purity project.I have just recently become a part of the jail ministry here in the valley and hoping to expand in that area.I am also involved in what is called Bended Knee Music ministry...This is an out reach ministry. You can read more about this at www.bendedkneeministries.com, Check it out.
I also have a love for martial arts. I joined karate 1 yr. after my husband died ( it was a great way to release alot of built up junk ).3 Yrs. later I tested and received my Black Belt.
Well... That's it.. God is GREAT!!
