Do you have any marketing tips? I have a few affiliate accounts, but I am not getting many sales through my website. I would like to get my traffic up, but do not seem to have the time to post frequently enough to my blog. I have blogged once a week and my traffic picke up but it wasn't worth it in sales. It more time than i could give consistently. I cut back to once a month and now my traffic has dropped.
I also write articles sporadically and post them on giveaway sites, but since I am a writer I'm figuring THAT"S really what I have to sell. So I don't overdo.
I don't like the idea of click advertising, but don't mind paying a percentage of sales -- my own affiliate program...
Any input would be appreciated.
May God bless you,
Cheryl

Cheryl,
What programs are you pushing ?
I'll take a look at the site and see if I can help out.
Are you receiving traffic on your site? What are you doing to get people there?

Here's what I do. Bulletins here and on myspace. Lots of yahoo groups; esp. for wahms. Links on my email signature. Ads in local online classifieds. Post flyers on bulletin boards. Pass out promo packs, not just biz cards. (a sample or some other small gift w/ a biz card stapled onto it. For my stuffable animals I handed out single serving packs of Teddy Grahams) Get a freewebs site and do banner exchanges. Let me know if you want more info!

I know I could do more with more time. But part of it is, I'm the creative type. I really don't like selling. I'm working on the personal touch, but I'm not one to talk my family and friends into buying. So, of course, that cuts off some potential sales.
The flyers are a really good idea and I can do that. I can check out more Yahoo groups also. I've tried some banner exchanges and webrings and links. They all help a little, but I don't think I'm where I need to be yet. Frankly, I get more sales off other sites than my own.
E-mails didn't work. I'm wondering how many actually read them.
I design Scripture artwork for use on posters, t-shirts, mugs, etc. I also am an affiliate seller of Bible products, music lessons, and general merchandise. Thanks for asking.

I not I don't really want to push things on my friends and family either. And I usually give them my discount anyway! The emails I send to them are mre like "look what I'm doing now".
Send me some info and links for your products. I'd like to see what you have.
