COMMUNION OF YOUNG MINISTERS INTERNATIONAL
(COYMI)
Communion Of Young Ministers International is an International fellowship, focused on bringing ministers and ministries into a close relationship with God and with like-minded ministers and ministries.
As the name implies the term communion is derived from the Latin word "Communio" (Sharing in common). The corresponding term in Greek is often translated as "Fellowship" COYMI is therefore a fellowship of ministers.
The word "young" in our name doesn't refer to age rather to the fact that minister or ministry is still running with the vision.
From Experience the founder of COYMI knows that many ministers usually feel lonely with no one to talk to, pray with, and to share challenges they are constantly faced with in their lives, homes and ministries, although they carter for a host of audience through counseling, prayer and fellowship. The question to ask is, where should these ministers go to when they need someone to talk to? The answer to this question inspired the formation of Communion Of Young Ministers International to serve as a shelter for ministers across the globe.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of COYMI is to provide for the Psychological, Spiritual and Social well being of ministers, so as to promote covenant relationship for global harvest of souls.
CORE VALUES (The motivating force behind our actions):
- Apostolic Mentoring: Providing mentoring and covering for ministers & ministries.
- Covenant Relationship: Building relationship with one another and helping ourselves to be all that God wants us to be.
- Ministers Fellowship: COYMI provides a platform for regular (Monthly) peer review, encouragement and prayers.
MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in COYMI is open to all ministers operating in any of the ministry gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11-12, having common goals, different operations, working towards one purpose and submitting one to another - none of the ministries being superior to another.
