This is something I got off of a blog from a man in the military it will tell you what he does. and I am happy to know he cares about us.
I am a weapons specialist. In short I repair the weapons we use. When they break or stop working I fix them. I also inspect them to see if I can prevent them from breaking down in the future. Our weapons don't break often so I work on the Afgan Army weapons and weapons that we capture and give to the Afgan Army to use. I also test fire all the weapons that I repair and that is the best part. I also go on convoys to bring suplies and people to and from different places. Thats basically what I do over here.

This is about a medic in WWII named Litwak//
"It was in 1945 ,and it was winter at Belgian. The Germans were falling back from the front lines. And the Russians held the Germans off in the east and were headed for Berlin, and were getting there fast.
Litwak was stationed in Luxembourg and was about to step into Germany by crossing Sauer River.
Though doing so would not be easy. The bridge at Echternach was down, the river rose sharply at the east bank, the Germans had mined roads and trails on the other side, and crossing points were zeroed in by artillery. Rumours went around and everyone thought that General Patton, was directing the operation as the leader of the third army, meant to break thier way into Germany at the east even at the cost of many deaths. Litwak and everryone else was spared they stayed in reserve at Belgian-Luxenbourg's side of the Sauer River, preparing to fall back from their positions just in case the assault failed and the Germans counter attacked." words from Litwak a medic that was in WWII
