The photo above is Grace Children' Orphanage. It is located in Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. This orphanage is currently caring for 70 children who a have been orphaned. They also care for other poor and destitute children, widow's, and pastor's families who need help, as they have funds for. This orphanage is in great need of items such as hair care, oral care and body care products, Clothing, shoes and bedding. They are in need of funds to keep operational, for electricity and other utilities. They are also in need of funds to keep the children fed, and healthy. These children need medical care, dental care and psychological counseling. These are the basic needs that the orphanage is providing for the children in the orphanage and for others out side the orphanage that that are in need.
Many of the children, Grace Children's Orphanage cares for, have lost one or both of their parents due to the harsh climates of India. India is highly susceptible to natural calamities, that happen often. Disasters like cyclones, floods, fire, road accidents, etc., where the children loose their parents and have no one to take care of them. Other children loose their mother or father in these disasters and end becoming very poor.
The orphanage started out helping 50 widows from 5 villages, giving them $5 a month, to care for their food and medicines. But now this same help is extended to 100 widows from 10 villages every widow is receiving $5 every month total 100 widows. In addition to this the orphanage conducts, once every six months, Widows Fellowship meeting in different places to ascertain their well-being and to meet any emergencies they have, distribute clothes, and home needs such as medicines, soaps, blankets, detergents etc., and to meet their travel expenses and provide a common meal. After this they give the widow's the assurance of God's Promise that he will wipe away their tears and give them their needs. The orphanage also helps the widows to develop faith and confidence in God and they are extremely thankful to God for taking care of them. With out the orphanages help, these widow's would be left completely destitute.
Grace Children's Orphanage still has 90 more villages to enter and pick up the most needy and destitute, who are looking for some one to help them. The orphanage hopes that the Lord will open a way to care for the suffering widows in all these 90 villages. Their goal is to extend this help to widows in all districts and they fully trust, God has made the way for help. We hope that you will extend a helping hand to these suffering, neglected widows. The organizational goal of Grace Children's Orphanage is to provide a normal education for these poverty stricken children as well as the basic needs for the orphans and others in need of - food, shelter, medical care, personal hygiene care, school supplies, and help to the widows in their community and surrounding villages. Grace Children's Orphanage is committed to working hard to meet these goals. The parents of the community are very happy and grateful for the endeavor of the orphanage to help their children get a better education.
