Published Works
Willie's Requiem (2011)
Book pulled from publisher and after legal battle cannot be published until 2011. The manuscript discusses intimate details of pre Katrina New Orleans. Journalist is caught up in the street life of the drug culture, her investigations into a local murder lead her into perdition. First of the Nan McHough series.

While this is a Christian novel, the violence and circumstances may offend the reader.

Anthologies (0)
Over the years my work has appeared in various anthologies including:

- Faithwriters Quarterly Anthology
- Neuse River Anthology
- Flat Water Anthology
- Harnett Anthology

and others.
Beware of the Vines of Ortheon (0)
Tounge-in-cheek science fiction stories centering around the adventures of a young traveler. The WIP gets worked on every-once-in-awhile. The silly plots have an overriding Christian message
Forbidden Treasure (0)
A WIP with a gastly plot. Based on a series of ghost stories and in particular, a story from 19th. century Pamlico Sound. Gets worked on at odd times, may or may not see the light of an editor's desk. But, I enjoy working on the story and cover art.

About dub - Obscure hack writer
NOTE; DON'T send me friend requests without reading this profile. I mean it!

About dub: Onery as a goat in clover. Is what he is and nothing more. Walks by the grace of God without deserving His mercy. Working on evil temper and bad attitude, haven't gotten there yet.

A poor published writer, a really bad banjo picker, but a pretty funky double bass man. Burnt out college professor. Tai Chi fanatic. Basically, an old gym rat.

Insidious life, took Jesus hand, Pulled from the brink. Still sliding, He's still pulling.

Organizations:
Local Writer's Roundtable
American T'ai Chi Association

Overall:
Pretty boring guy - truly enjoys solitude. Very few real friends. Off beat and dry sense of humor offends many people. Often called obnoxious. Ruins many relationships. Has poor taste in clothes, and personal habits leave a lot to be desired. Is into cardio exercise and Tai Chi, outside of that has little human interaction. Practices two styles of Tai Chi and finds the alone time practicing to be ideal for mediation - folks who think meditation is anti Christian can ... never mind.

Prefers sweet iced tea any time of day; unsweetened grapefruit juice in the mornings. Abhors coffee. Believes smokers are murderers bent on taking as many with them as they can during their suicide.

Note to all who want to add me to their friend's list - probably a bad idea, I'm not a nice guy. Here are my five rules for solicitation me for a friend.

First: If I don't already know you then I don't want to be your friend.
Second: If you are a group or organization don't bother, especially if you are someone just promoting.
Third: If you are under 18 years old - go away, I will delete you immediately
Fourth: If you are selling something - prepare to be blocked
Fifth: If you have anything bad to say about the President or the U.S. prepare to be treated like pond scum.

Only friends I have are those who are not offended by my personality. Potential friends must admit or at least state the words "Go Knicks." Then dance on one foot and sing the second verse of the Finnish National Anthem. Goat ownership is not required, at least for new friends. Please understand, most people do not like me, and the feeling is mutual.

I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR: If you send me a friend request without a pm, which expressly states, "Go Knicks", you will be rejected immediately. I'm thinking of giving a literacy test to every friend request, cause obviously some people can't read.

Carolina Mornings   6/19/2009 - 6:21 AM
Nothing more beautiful than a Carolina morning. Today, God went out of His way to make it particularly so. I think if I were offered any other place in the world to be, I wouldn't move more than ten inches from where I currently sit. (login or sign up to read more)
