Special Hope Miniseries' School.

The children of Toba Tek Singh and villages, 5 kms from Toba Tek Singh a small village Chak No. 290/JB, call it New Hope School. Chak No. 319/JB is a small village in Toba Tek Singh with a population of nearly 7,000 and a highly hierarchical society. But New Hope School is different.

The ministry has started its 8 Sunday Schools (Biblical and formal) where they don't only get formal education but also growing in Jesus Christian name. Now, 150 children are getting education.

The school caters to children whose parents went in the early morning for earning money in brick kilns place.

The ministry is providing free books, Bibles, Cds (Local singers in Urdu, Punjabi and translated material in their native languages and specially helping them grow in Jesus with special pastor lectures and prayers. With it ministry is also provided and supporting them through clothes, shelter, food, Christian Mas and Easter gifts, and also try to support them.

A formal Study center is being maintained by our ministry in (3) three villages Chak No. 290,298 and 288, now with our qualified staff members by way of giving them intensive coaching for the poor needy children from 5th class to 10th class on free of charges. If our God proposes us, this ministry desires to start a Primary School for the needy children at our project area. Now, we are expecting (5) five more villages to start the mission there also.

On X-Mas , Easter and other social programs children prepare Dramas on their native languages on Bible bases topics.

Condition of Brick Kiln Workers:-

There are total 135 brick kilns Homes in the District of Toba Tek Singh and 350 Three Hundred and Fifty workers are working .Their economic and social conditions are very poor. The brick kiln owners' behavior towards the workers is not human or moral. They consider the workers their slaves and make them to do very hard work. The workers are working in the same condition for many generations. The owners also trap the workers by giving loans so that they could not escape. They never even try to improve the living conditions of the workers. The workers are deprived from the basic needs of life like electricity, clean water, health and education.

Women at Brick Kilns:

Women suffer in all cases, especially in a country like Pakistan, where male domination is strong, worse thing is that these women are not paid anything for their work, only the male members working the brick kiln get money for the bricks made. This increases the dependency of the women on the men, and they further advantage of her alienation.

Out Comes:

Struggle of a couple of years forced kiln owners to fulfill the workers demands. Now workers are better organized and are more focused. They get 184 Rupees per day, as fixed by the Government. The brick kiln owners increased the rates of bricks from 1,800/- to 2,000/- but are not willing to increase the wages. . The owners are building up sky high apartments by depriving the poor kiln worker and peasants by squeezing their blood.

Now the labor movement has taken one more step and widened its circle. Now they are demanding to register the brick kilns. If that happens, the workers will have social security. Social security means education of children, health, and shelter and of course death grant and marriage grants too. The kiln worker is not socially secure so he's not getting these facilities.

The workers of Toba Tek Singh decided that they'll also struggle for the basic human rights besides the issue of wages. They're trying to have the right of social security and the registration of brick kilns. They're also working for the organization of kiln workers as they understand the need of organizing small units of workers and to inform them about the labor laws so that the workers can struggle in a proper, effective and legal way for their rights.

Future Plans:-

We try now a days to provide heath facility for those who have no access for hospital, so for this task Special Hope Medical facility will provide, where their basic necessities of medical like first Aid programs will arranges, aware ness programs will designed and especially Maternity facility will provide in future plans. Brick Kiln worker children will also get Biblical and formal education in this December, 2009 and over all 200 children will get this opportunity in Jesus Christ name, and we are hopeful that the name of Christ will spread where people don't know Him and lots of injured and lost souls will believe on Him and accept Jesus. And the name of might Christ will shine for ever and ever. Please pray for the best of luck for the ministries future task. Amen

Sewing Centers:-

The ministry has describes his missions in first page, that ministry is also working for woman's. For this special task we have opened (5) five schools, in which young girls and women are engaged in it. This is for those women's who have knowledge of sewing and embroidery work, the senior students are also supporting to their junior students (young girls) the Christians women are very hard working, much interested in works and also want to support their families. The classes began evening 4:00 Pm to 6:00 Pm. Five (5) volunteer instructors and 60 students are working in this centre.

Distributions:-

We love to distribute Bibles, Cds, Printed Material, (Translated in our native languages) Cassettes, (Video Films Biography of Jesus Christ) Local singers Cds & Cassettes for all people these are funded by other outreach ministries and some Brothers and Sisters who love to support through these things and Money.

Urgent Need:-

Now, a days ministry is in need of two things much important first is Digital Camera for taking photos different activities and other one is LCD (TV) for orphans children after the Bible Class for entertainments, like watching Cartoons, movies and issue bases movies.

We have many needs for the ministries we're doing here. But the first and primary need we have is for the power of the Holy Spirit to work here. If He doesn't convict people of their sins, we won't have results. I'm counting on His power, and for this to come to pass, we need to be holy and humble in our lives. The spiritual and human needs of the people here are very real. We trust that if we work to meet these needs, the Lord will provide the material and financial needs in His good time.

I'd hope to see many people pray for us, I hope to see people coming here to work with us, but even more, I hope to see the Lord touch the people here. Pray with us for these things.
